1 Purpose
This Work Instruction defines / describes mandatory actions to ensure that the availability of New
Technical Materials stored in inventory matches with mandatory business requirements.

This Work Instruction addresses the requirements of PMI QS in order to establish procurement
control and defines:

How to request a stock of new technical materials How to maintain stock of new technical materials
& Must be categorized & Must be performed

- Category consumable technical materials
- Category non consumable technical materials
- For category consumable, maintain initial stock
determined based on the recommended ROP
from manufacturing center
- For category non consumable, maintain initial
stock done by reservation/consumption
commitment. Commitment must be in the
form of ( date, month, year)
- For category electronic, maintain initial stock
determined based on quantity usage in one
machine

4 Key Requirements
4.1 Principle
All inventory of new Technical Materials registered in SAP P1 must be segmented into 3 categories
according to frequency of usage in which category consumable technical materials with stock
condition should always be available. As for the category of non-consumable technical materials,
Manufacturing compulsory booked and consumed in accordance with a predetermined plan.
Whereas for category electronic with stock condition should always be available. Valid justification
must be provided and corrective action must be performed by manufacturing if the evaluation
results are not meeting with minimum requirements stated in Current Document-work instruction

4.1.1 MRP Type for new technical materials

Consumable, non-consumable and electronic technical materials must be given a certain MRP type
in SAP P1
