01. INTRODUCTION
Divex Marine Journey started back in 2002, with small fleet and team in the United Arab Emirates. Having
started as a small marine contracting company primarily focused on underwater diving operations, we are
now among one of the top marine contracting company in United Arab Emirates and continuously
expanding our operation in other Gulf Countries.

divisions of Port Construction, Onshore and Offshore Pipeline Works, Piling Works, Breakwatersand Rock
Revetment, Dredging and Reclamation, Floating Marinas, Beach Construction, Slipway Construction,
Sewage, Stormwater, Freshwater & Drainage, Water Systems, Marine Equipment, Diving Services.
The last decade has also seen the Diver Group of companies stepping out beyond the borders of Abu
Dubai to establish a strong presence in Dubai and across all emirates.
PROJECT BACKGROUND:
The MIRFA involves a dredging initiative in MIRFA with the goal of removing approximately 6000 cubic meters of
sediment from the marine works area. Led by Engineer, the project aims to enhance navigation, comply with
environmental regulations, and support infrastructure development, such as the construction of a new villa. The
project timeline, prioritizes environmental considerations with rigorous impact assessments and mitigation
measures. The contracting structure, whether through a 100% ownership LLC or a combination of local and
owner shares, has been strategically chosen to align with project goals. Regular updates will be provided to
stakeholders to ensure transparency throughout the project's execution.

DEFINITIONS:
The objective of this project is to undertake dredging activities in the designated marine works
area to achieve .
Scope of Work:
1. Pre-Construction Phase:
a. Site Assessment:
• Conduct a detailed site survey to assess the existing conditions of the marine
works area.
• Analyze bathymetric data to understand underwater topography and sediment
distribution.
b. Regulatory Compliance:
• Obtain all necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines.
5. Dredging Operations:
a. Commence dredging activities in accordance with the approved plan.
b. Monitor dredging progress and adjust operations as necessary based on real-time
data.
c. Implement quality control checks on dredged materials.
9. Documentation:
a. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all activities, including permits, surveys,
and reports.
b. Ensure that all documentation is readily available for audits or inspections.

8. Dredging Operations:
• Commence dredging operations using the hydraulic pump, with crane assistance for lifting if required.
14. Handover of Project and Demobilization: - Hand over the completed project to the main contractor and
proceed with demobilization of equipment and machinery from the site.
This revised method statement includes additional steps for obtaining regulatory approvals before mobilization
and ensures compliance with environmental and safety standards throughout the dredging process.

The equipment shall be used only by operator processing valid certificates and valid UAE licenses. All
equipment brought to the site shall be inspected and certified.
3.3 Manpower
The project site engineer will be responsible for the construction work and shall ensure that
all the required safety procedures and regulations are satisfied.
Manpower allocated to this work is shown in the following table.

It is noted that the above-mentioned personnel and equipment are the initial envisaged and may be altered
depending on requirements and work scheduling.
1. Project Manager:
• Oversee and manage the entire project from initiation to completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders.
• Ensure project objectives are met within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
2. Project Engineer:
• Support the Project Manager in planning and executing the project.
• Coordinate engineering activities and ensure technical specifications are met.
• Prepare project documentation and reports.
3. Site Engineer:
• Execute and supervise construction activities on-site.
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor their work.
• Manage site logistics and resolve technical issues.
• Implement quality control and safety measures.
4. Site Supervisor:
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities.
• Supervise site personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to project schedule and quality standards.
• Report progress and issues to the Project Engineer or Site Engineer.
• Enforce safety regulations on-site.
6. Marine Helpers:
• Assist in various marine-related tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Handle mooring lines and assist in vessel operations.
• Support the maintenance and cleaning of marine equipment.
• Follow safety protocols during marine activities.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials from marine vessels.
7. Operators:
• Operate heavy machinery and equipment as required for the project.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Follow project plans and specifications for equipment operation.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during equipment operation.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or issues.

The risk of persons falling from heights i.e., ladders slipping and associated falls from ladders can be
effectively minimized by a second person footing the ladder. Maintain 3-point contact while
ascending/descending the access ladder. Access onto roofs must be avoided and requires the work
to be re-assessed accordingly;
The working area will be kept clean and tidy on regular basis to prevent any slip I trip hazards.
