Syed Ali Aslam Jafri was born in 1943 and educated in Khairpur and Sukkur, graduating from Sindh University Law School in 1964. He practiced law for over 40 years, serving as a district court advocate in 1965, high court advocate in 1972, and supreme court advocate in 1986. He also taught law for many years, serving as the principal of Khairpur Law College from 1985 until becoming a high court judge in 2000, retiring in 2005. Since then, he has continued teaching and taking on leadership roles, including as the first Federal Insurance Ombudsman of Pakistan from 2006 to 2010 and currently as the Director General of Sindh Judicial Academy since 2016.

Born on 13-10-1943. Educated at Khairpur and Sukkur;
passed L.L.B. from Sindh University in 1964 and secured 3rd Position. Enrolled as an advocate on 10-03-1965 in District Court and in High Court on 16-04-1972; in Supreme Court of Pakistan on 29-04-1986. Had been teaching Law in Khairpur Law College since 1970 and remained as Principal since February, 1985 till 9th October, 2000 when elevated as Judge of the High Court of Sindh. Retired on 12-10-2005. Started practice in Supreme Court and teaching in S.M. Law College, Karachi, as well as in Sindh Judicial Academy, Karachi. Appointed as First Federal Insurance Ombudsman of Pakistan on 02-05-2006 for a period of four years. Appointed as Director General Sindh Judicial Academy on 30-01-2016. A visiting Faculty Member of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Law University, Karachi and Shah Abdul Lateef University Law School at Khairpur. Member Board of Governors and Board of Trustees of NU-FAST Islamabad; SZABIST, Karachi and IBA, Sukkur. Member Syndicate of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. During college days was elected as General Secretary of Mumtaz College Students Union. An English, Urdu and Sindhi Debater. Remained as Member/Secretary and President of ROTARY CLUB, Khairpur. Presently Chairman, District Red Crescent Society, Khairpur. Has travelled India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia U.K. and U.S.A.
