Inside Technical Sales Representative Job Description

The Technical Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and


maintaining relationships with prospects, as well as identifying and qualifying new leads.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical products and services,
as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical
audiences.

Responsibilities:

● Generate new sales opportunities by following up on leads, attending trade


shows, and cold calling.
● Qualify leads by understanding their needs and determining if they are a good fit
for the company's products or services.
● Build relationships with potential customers by providing them with information
about the company's products and services, and answering their questions.
● Track sales metrics and report on progress to the head of marketing.
● Generate SQLs and achieve set goals.
● Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive products.
● Participate in training and development programs.
● Achieves department and organization goals by accepting ownership for
accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to
job accomplishments.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree or Master’s in Management


● 5+ years of experience in Inside technical sales
● Strong understanding of technical products and services
● Prospecting, relationship building, and lead generation
● Ability to overcome objections and refusals in a courteous, friendly way
● Professional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Strong customer service skills
● Ability to meet and exceed set goals
Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience with CRM software


● Experience with email marketing
● Experience with social media engagement
● North American and European inside sales calling experience

Mandatory-

1. Prior experience in IT services and solutions: 5+ years

2. Do you have experience working in IT domains and digital transformation solutions such as
AI & ML, cloud computing, data engineering, data governance, data science, data analytics,
etc.?

Good to have:

1. Do you have a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field?

2. Do you have experience cold calling for solution sales?
