Class VII

Stone art

Stone art is usually taken to mean images and/or symbols craved in


natural stone left in its original place. However, it can also mean items
carved of stone for practical or symbolic use. The “meaning” of stone
art is as varied as the intents of the people who did the work.

Students need to bring the following.

1. Cardboard sheets 12x12 inches


2. UHU liquid tube
3. Stone different size
4. One reference picture (the student can bring one reference
picture regardless of their idea)

All artwork will be finished within a span of 4 weeks and there will be
no acceptance of any late assignments
Mosaic painting

Mosaic art is the decoration of a surface with small, variously colored pieces of
material, called tesserae. Various materials can be used for tesserae, but stone,
glass, and ceramic are the most common. Mosaic art has some similarities to
painting as a method for creating pictorial art on a two-dimensional surface.

Students need to bring the following.

1. A4 size color papers different colors


2. UHU liquid tube
3. One reference picture (the student can bring one reference picture
regardless of their idea)
