    Montaña FIELD STUDY 1


    Bcaed 3 - ISPSC Main Campus THNHS

    This is my first day of taking my Field Study 1 Observation of Teaching Learning in Actual
    School Environment in Teodoro Hernaez National High School. We start the day in going to the
    office of the principal for formal orientation about the school and about the work that we need to do
    here. We also introduce ourselves one-by-one to the principal and we have some good conversation.
    After we introduce ourselves, Mr. Principal give us our schedule for our observation, he also
    introduce us to our cooperating teachers, based on our major subjects. For me, I have Ms. Gacilos,
    Mr. Danzalan and Mr. Ayson, they are all teachers in junior high school.
    I have five schedule for observation, each of them has one hour of teaching. We start the
    observation a little late because of the orientation and it’s reasonable. For the schedule of
    10:00-11:00am, I start my observation in the class of Ms. Gacilos for grade 8 Cattleya, she teaches
    Physical Education. I experience restraining the students who are so noisy and stubborn. But because
    of the authority of Ms. Gacilos they stopped and listen to the lesson. Next schedule was 1:30-
    2:30pm, I go to the class of Mr. Ayson, he also teaches Physical Education in grade 10 Neptune.
    They have an activity of doing the Physical Fitness Test. Mr. Ayson divide the class into 6 groups for
    them to be handle easily. Mr. Ayson let me guide the other 3 groups in doing their activities. I helped
    them understand the activities to do and assist them. Next schedule was 2:30-3:30pm and it is my last
    schedule for the day, I go to the class of Mr. Danzalan in grade 7 Rizal, he also teach Physical
    education, but because Mr. Danzalan is in hospital, they given me a chance to teach the students. I
    went to the classroom and they give me a warm welcome, they are quite noisy but manageable.
    When I start my discussion, the students told me that the topic that I am going to teach are already
    tackled by Mr. Danzalan and they are also done with the quiz about it, then because of that I just
    conduct a review about the past lesson. Before I go home, I went back to the MAPEH department to
    report.
