Exercise 1: After you read the example paragraph, answer the following
questions.

2. The main difference between descriptive and listing-order paragraphs is their
purpose. A descriptive paragraph is a paragraph used to describe a person, a thing, an
object, or a place so that the readers can almost see it in their minds. In contrast, a listing-
order paragraph is used to divide the topic into many different points.
