CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the results, the analysis and interpretation of data gathered from
the answers to the questionnaires distributed to the field. The said data were presented
in tabular form in accordance with the specific questions posited on the statement of the
problem.

According to table 1, 96.25% of the respondents who answered the questionnaire


graduated on school year 2019-2020, and 3.75% graduated on school year 2018-2019.
Therefore, most of the respondents who answered our questionnaire graduated on
school year 2019-2020.

As you can see, in the table it tells us that 30 % of our respondents scored 9 out of 10
items in our questionnaire, 27.5% scored 8, 17.5 % got a perfect score of 10, 16.25%
scored 6 below, and 8.75% scored 7 out of 10. Thus, majority of our respondents
scored 9 out of 10 items in our questionnaire.

The Researchers claim that there is a big learning gap in Philippine history in Grade 10
students of ICNHS with a total population of 80 with a mean of 8.24 and standard
deviation of 1.30 calculated from the tables presented. In order to test the claim, The
researcher calculated the mean of the samples of 16 individuals from the population the
result would be a mean of 8.19 and standard deviation of 1.8

The table 3 shows the item analysis The Researchers did to the items of the
questionnaire it show the interaction of the respondents and the questionnaire, Each
items corresponds to a certain era in History. Thus in the Spanish era we can see an
average of 83.33% correct answers from the Respondents, in Revolutionary Era an
average of 85. 94%, in American Era 57.5 %, in Commonwealth Era 85% , and in
Martial law era 77.5 %. Therefore, we can say that A majority number of respondents
tend to know lesson on history more on Revolutionary Era.

According to table 5, 41.25% of respondents rated themselves 3 means that the rated
themselves neutral, 27.5%of respondents rated themselves 4, 15% rated themselves 5,
10% rated themselves 2, and only 6.25% rated themselves 1 which is the highest rating
on the questionnaire.
