Please read the whole document.

Please be ready to board your transport 10 - 15 minutes before your
transport is due to depart the Medical School to register and please know
your placement, your taxi route number or your bus destination.

PM: St Andrews Executive transport leaves at
12.00noon at front of the Medical School. Return pick
up from Sax Travel at 4.15pm.
Performance Psychology: AM: SAX Travel transport leaves at 8:00am at the front
Queen Margaret Hospital of the medical school. Return pick-up from Sax Travel
AM or Golf Taxis at 12:15pm. Placements Team will advise

Queen Margaret Hospital PM: SAX Travel transport leaves at 12:00mid day at the
PM front of the medical school. Return pick-up from Sax
Travel at 4:15pm.
Hand/ Ortho: Queen SAX Travel transport leaves at 8:00am at the front of
Margaret Hospital AM the medical school. Return pick-up from Sax Travel or
session Golf Taxis at 12:15pm. Placement team will confirm
week before.

Neurology: Queen SAX Travel transport leaves at 12.00 mid day at the
Margaret Hospital PM front of the medical school. Return pick-up from Sax
session Travel at 4:15pm.
Cardiology: Victoria AM: SAX Travel/ Golf City leaves at 8:00am at the front
Hospital of the medical school. Return pick-up from SAX Travel
or Golf City – placements team will confirm week
before.
PM: SAX Travel/ Golf City leaves at 12:00mid day at the
front of the medical school. Return pick-up from SAX
Travel/ Golf City at 4:15pm. Placements team will
confirm week before.

Performance Psychology: AM: SAX Travel transport leaves at 8:00am at the front
Queen Margaret Hospital of the medical school. Return pick-up from Golf City
Taxis at 12:15pm.
PM: Golf City Taxis transport leaves at 12:00noon at
the front of the medical school. Return pick-up from
SAX Travel at 4:15pm.

Transport to GP/ medical practices, Health Centres, Child Development Centres

and Health Visiting:
If your transport arrives early, before the practice/ centre opens, you will have to
wait outside until a member of staff from the practice/ centre arrives to let you in.

Taxis will pick you back up from GP practices from approx. 4:30pm onwards. If you
are first to be dropped off, you will be the LAST to be picked up. Please confirm your
own pickup time with the driver.

Transport to Addiction Services:

Cameron Hospital – you will be dropped off at Cameron Hospital, Leven at about
9.30am with students who are attending a placement with Dr Williamson and Emma
Nisbet. Please make sure you make your way toward Ward 11, Addictions Services
at Cameron Hospital (map attached to Galen resources) and ask for Angela Swift,
Clinical Service Manager.

Transport to Community Hospital Placements:

If your transport arrives early, before the start of your placement, you will have to
wait until your tutors are ready for you.

Transport will pick you up for the return journey from the community hospitals at
approx. 4:15pm onwards. If you are first to be dropped off, you will be the LAST to
be picked up. Please confirm your own pickup time with the driver.

Transport to Cardiology:

Cardiology - Transport will drop you off at the Main reception. Ask the welcome
person at the main entrance to direct you to the internal phone.
Call either Carol Speed on 21668 or Emily Bell on 28031.
They will provide directions to the department (it's quite well signposted).
At the end of placement, you will be given directions back to main entrance to
Hayfield Road for you return pick-up.
