Part I

1. What 3 new things have I learned from their creative discussion/presentation?

There are a few factors that I learned about their creative discussion. I learned that the longer one
does the exercise, the health benefits will be reaped faster. I also learned that even environmental
conditions affect the exercise. Lastly, I learned that there should be assessments as to which exercise plan
is appropriate for a person of certain age, health conditions, etc.

2. In the topics discussed, what 2 ideas/concepts were familiar to me? Why and in what instance were
those ideas familiar to me?

I was familiar with two characteristics: weight and BMI. I know that one’s weight certainly affects
the exercise, so it should be assessed beforehand. Secondly, I am familiar with the BMI, because it is
important to determine, not only the weight, but its relation to our height, hence the BMI.

3. What 1 significant learning did I gain from their video today? Why?

I learned that there are more factors, aside from BMI, that should be considered and assessed for
each person before exercising. Each person belongs to different groups such as age, training level, health
conditions, etc. Each criterion or factor should be considered to formulate and execute a proper and
appropriate exercise routine.

Part II

1. What can I say about my group’s presentation?

All my fellow members worked with great teamwork, hence a nice output. The content was
adequate and explained well. The creative setup was also very cute and matched the given
creative concept which was a talk show. The output was in a picnic situation, and really
presented a homey and “chitchat” vibe, which was what we were aiming for.

2. What essential learning, in the content of my group’s presentation, have I gained new
insight?

I learned more about fitness, its components, and its overall effect and cycle within the body.
I learned that exercise starts within the body and finally ends with the output the body has
produced. Exercise science covers a wide aspect, from the scientific processes going on inside
and how these processes explain the work or activities that we do. Therefore, studying the
science of exercise is also a really technical aspect.

3. Why and how come it made an impact on me and in relation to the course I am taking in
PATHFIT right now?

I learned so much about exercise science. I am a dormant person physically, and until now I
was not really interested. However, upon learning and researching about it, I was actually
amazed, because for me exercise was a physical thing. It stuck to me that exercise is not just
something needed to be healthy. Exercise is a science; hence, I am now taking up this course.
