Tribal Resolution No. 1 2023
WHEREAS, an information dated June 13, 2023 with an attached Resolution dated
June 06, 2023, was recently lobbied by IPMR Domingo “Amay” N. Collado and Chieftain
Dalena Samling, IPS Head-ICC Danlag alleging the existence of private armed group in
the Municipality of Tampakan, South Cotabato to the Offices of the PNP Regional
Director, Police BGen Jimili L Macaraeg, South Cotabato Provincial Director Police
Colonel Cydric Earl M Tamayo and Tampakan MPS Chief-of-Police PMaj Roel Vergel
Parreño;
WHEREAS, this has escalated questions and concerns from the tribal clan leaders and
representatives for the said Petition, we firmly assess that since time immemorial of our
ancestors, their following generations and since birth of our parents as well as our
generation until today residing and living in our respective communities;
WHEREAS, we further state that we were surprised that there is a Petition on the
alleged existence of private armed groups in the locality and upon questioning the
signatories in the attached Resolution to the said Petition, they are not aware of the said
document;
WHEREAS, we firmly believe that this is just one of the schemes of the Mining
Company who seemingly manipulates some of our tribal leaders, kins and relatives to
sow falsehood, fabricated and concocted information to undermine Tampakeños in
order to fast-track its lopsided preparations and processes for mining operations;
WHEREAS, we, the tribal clan leaders and youth representatives hereby inform the
concerned offices that the lobbied information of IPMR Collado and Chieftain Samling
as to the existence of private armed groups is NOT TRUE and is just a BASELESS
ACCUSATION for WE HAVE NEITHER SEEN NOR OBSERVE ANY SIGHTINGS OF
ANY UNIDENTIFIED ARMED GROUPS ROAMING AROUND OR PASSING OR
EVEN HARASSING OUR COMMUNITIES;
RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED, that the Clan Leaders and Youth Leaders
hereby pass A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE TAMFAKEN TRIBAL CLAN LEADERS
AND BLAAN YOUTH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE TWELVE (12) TRIBAL
COMMUNITIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAMPAKAN, SOUTH COTABATO
DENYING THE ALLEGED EXISTENCE OF THE ORGANIZED PRIVATE ARMY
GROUP IN THE MUNICIPALITY.
