Certificate to export poultry meat from
Brazil to Viet Nam

To: Embassy of Brazil in Hanoi

Department of Animal Health (DAH) received official note 85/23 dated August 15,
2023 from the Embassy of Brazil in Hanoi requesting the amendment of Health Certificate to
export poultry meat and poultry products from Brazil to Vietnam together with documents of
the regionalization of Avian Influenza and Newcastle disease. After having analyzed the
document and the request to amend the Health Certificate to export poultry meat and poultry
products from Brazil to Vietnam, DAH requests competent authorities of Brazil to provide the
DAH the following information:

- The content for amendment in the Certification section of the Certificate and reasons
for the amendment.
- Situation of the Avian Influenza in Brazil (Details about the location, starting and
ending time of the outbreaks, number of sick/dead poultry, measures applied, results
for tracing the origin of the outbreaks and measures to control the Avian Influenza
disease. Copies of regulations on regionalization of Avian Influenza, measures to
control the disease, measures to control the transportation of poultry and poultry
products in these regions.
- For the document of the regionalization of Avian Influenza and Newcastle, it is requests
that Brazil to provide detail information of testing method and testing agent for Avian
Influenza at Surveillance plan and Certification maintenance, results of proactive
monitoring of Avian Influenza and Newcastle in accordance with the new surveillance
plan from July, 2022 until now.
