Sub:- Amendment to Rule-14.3(v) in Appendix-!X(A) of OPWD Code Volume-ll.
After careful consideration, Government have been pleased to make amendment to
Rule-14.3 (v) in Appendix-lX (A) of OPWD Code Volume-ll by incorporating the following
provrsron.

"ln case of high value tenders (EPC / Turnkey tenders) involving Earnest
Money Deposit (EMD) of t50.00 lakh (Rupees Fifty Lakh) or more, bidders will
be allowed to furnish EMD offline in shape of Bank Guarantee(BG) from the
Scheduled Bank having its branch in Odisha, besides other approved mode,
during participation in tender."
1. This shall take effect from the date of issue of this Office Memorandum.
2. Accordingly, relevant provisions in Office Memorandum No.'11774M dtd.03.08.2017
and Office Memorandum No.7885M dtd.23.07.2013 of Works Depa(ment stands
modified to the above extent with effect from the date of issue of this Office
Memorandum.
3. This has been concurred in by the Finance Department vide their U.O.R. No.1559/
ACSF dt.30.08.2018.
