To Whom It May Concern:

I have worked with Ms. Laura Austin in the English department of Dayton High School
since 2018. Ms. Austin is a wonderful colleague and I have thoroughly enjoyed
collaborating with her. As a teacher, Ms. Austin is hardworking, dedicated, and
passionate about both the subject of English literature and having high standards for her
students.

Beyond the classroom, Ms. Austin is deeply involved in the school community through
both her Journalism program and her Color/Winter Guard team. Under Ms. Austin’s
guidance, the Journalism class produces a school newspaper that is both informative,
investigative, and creative. They also put on a yearly school carnival for the kids in our
community that is well attended by everyone. The Color Guard and Winter Guard team
practice and attend events all year, ranging from school assemblies to regional
competitions. The performances, coached by Ms. Austin, are always beautiful and
well-crafted.

As much as she will be missed at our school, Ms. Austin would be an amazing addition
to any school campus. She is a person who was absolutely meant to be a teacher, and she
always goes above and beyond for both her students and her colleagues.
