Lesson Plan for Grade 10


Recognizing the Gift of Nature

I. Objectives
a. Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literature and other
text types serve as sources of wisdom in expressing and resolving
conflicts among individuals, groups and nature; also, how to use
evaluative reading, listening and viewing strategies, special speeches for
occasions, pronouns and structures of modification.
b. Performance Standard
The learner skillfully delivers a speech for a special occasion through
utilizing effective verbal and non-verbal strategies and ICT responses.
c. Learning Competency
EN10VC-IIIb-23- Share viewpoints based on the ideas presented in the
materials viewed
d. Learning Objective
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
1. Interpret the meaning of the song through explaining each stanza;
2. Create a painting or drawing by analyzing lyrics from the song; and
3. Share viewpoints based on the ideas presented in the materials viewed.

Armstrong. Louis Daniel
Armstrong was an American
trumpeter and vocalist. He
was among the most
influential figures in jazz. His
career spanned five decades
and received numerous
accolades including the
Grammy Award for Best Male
Vocal Performance for Hello,
Dolly! In 1965 and many
more.
