Course Objectives:
1. To introduce the concept of design thinking and make students relate it with day-to-day life
and environment.
2. To make students understand and apply the design process across any discipline.
3. To make students create a Proof of Concept (PoC) / prototype from their idea.
4. To make them understand the importance of protecting the generated idea.

Course Outcomes:
After the completion of this course the students must be able to:
1. evolve their understanding for good design and must be able to practically relate it.
2. map the difference product oriented and user oriented aspects that are key to any design’s
success.
3. think out of the box and create disruptive solutions to common life problems and beyond.
4. have a spectrum of perspectives apart from engineering like, safety, problem statement, market
need, target groups and requirements, material, prototyping and idea protection.
