INTRODUCTION
Hijāma was practised in Egypt for thousands of years and the earliest evidence of Hijama practice was discovered in Ebers
Papyrus, written in 1550 BC.
Hijāma bilā-Shart involves the use of a vacuum pump or heat to create a partial vacuum inside the cups placed on the skin.
Hijāma bilā-Sharț is a safe, non-invasive and inexpensive modality of treatment used to alleviate the pain and discomfort
arising from disorders of internal organs, muscle spasms, joint diseases, neuromuscular disorders and numerous other diseases.

EQUIPMENT
Cups (glass, plastic, etc.)Vacuum pump
A lamp or candle
Inflammable small cone of paper or
Camphor, Spirit, Betadine solution
A razor to remove the hair from the cup
application site
