Import Demurrage and Detention in United Kingdom

Import Demurrage -Locations except Grangemouth, Southampton, Teesport, Tilbury, London，

Immingham and Belfast:

For vessels arriving before 21:00 PM，Import demurrage (IB DEM) is calculated at 00:00AM from
the day of vessel’s arrival till the day of full container gate-out.
For vessels arriving after 21:00 PM，Import demurrage (IB DEM) is calculated at 00:00AM from the
next day of vessel’s arrival till the day of full container gate-out.

Import Demurrage -Grangemouth, Southampton, Teesport, Tilbury, London, Immingham:

For Immingham:
For vessels arriving before 21:00 PM，Import demurrage (IB DEM) is calculated at 00:00AM from
the day of vessel’s arrival till the day of full container gate-out.
For vessels arriving after 21:00 PM，Import demurrage (IB DEM) is calculated at 00:00AM from the
next day of vessel’s arrival till the day of full container gate-out.
For Grangemouth, Southampton, Teesport, Tilbury, London:
Import demurrage (IB DEM) is calculated at 00:00AM from the day of container discharge from
vessel till the day of full container gate-out.

Import Detention -All locations except Belfast:

Import detention (IB DET) is calculated at 00:00AM from the next day of full container gate-out till
the day of empty return to carrier’s designated facility.

Notes:
1. Free time of IB DEM is counted by calendar day including Saturdays, Sundays & National
Holidays. Charges are calculated by calendar day after free time.
2. Free time of IB DET is counted by working day excluding Saturdays, Sundays & National
Holidays. Charges are calculated by calendar day after free time.
3. IB DEM includes port storage but excludes any reefer charges at port or inland facility, which
should be paid by customer separately.
4. There are extra 14 calendar days free for shipment with carrier haulage.
5. NOR (non-operating reefer) is considered as Dry Container.
6. 45HQ is considered equal to 40HQ.
7. Other special equipment like FS/OC/OM/OH/FQ/OQ/SR is equivalent to OT/FL/PL.
8. The tariff in Belfast can be found in The Republic of Ireland.
