In this present age, we have different agricultural system which are the Traditional System that
obtaining the Shifting Cultivation system where farmers clear piece of forest land by cutting and burning
the residue of vegetation to grow crops; the Lowland Riced-based System which is very successful in
Asia, the Upland Cereal-based System that is a predominant system in seasonally-humid and semi-arid
areas, the Smallholder Scale Mixed farming that the animals provide manure for crops and crop residues
are used as animals feed. The Irrigated smallholder Farming and Small holder Farming with Plantation
Crops. While some of the agricultural forms in this present age are the Livestock production which is
simply the management and breeding of domestic, livestock or farm animals for obtaining their meat,
milk and other multipurpose uses such as skins, fiber, fertilizer and fuel, also for occupation purposes;
the Crop Production that growing crops for domestic and commercial purposes; the Agricultural
economics that study the allocation, distribution and utilization of the farm resources and the
Agricultural engineering that study and solve the concerning power supply and facilitate the machine
efficiency in farm uses

2.The agricultural system in a communist was mostly collectivized, with some limited cultivation and
also viewed as inefficient sectors of agriculture in the economy. The agriculture is to be the main source
of employment of the population. While in capitalist country they often thought of economic system
which they can serve the best interest of the society, they have more on commercial agriculture with a
goal to produce food for sale the global marketplace which we called agribusiness.

3.Based on the information I obtained in my research, the most suitable agricultural system in the
condition of our country is the Lowland Riced-based systems - in terms of our country’s climate which is
tropical and maritime that is characterized by relatively high temperature, high humidity and abundant
to rainfall; in social factors that affecting the Philippine by race, ethnicity and gender; in the cultural
practices method that used in Philippines to enhance crop productivity by conserving water and soil to
improve crop health productivity by reducing weeds, pests and disease and by political issues in
agriculture in the country by limited diversification and low productivity – the cropping intensity of the
rice is dependent on rainfall and since our country is abundant in rainfall it can determine how fast a
crop will grow from seed, including when it will be ready for harvesting and this agricultural system.
Moreover, the Lowland Riced-based system is successful in Asia and it is a big benefit for our farmers to
increased their production, helping increase the national stock of food products in our country.

1.Based on the performance that the Philippine agriculture has from April-June 2022, the country
managed to grow by 0.5% in the second quarter of 2020 and the production of crops and fisheries
increased even more compared to poultry and livestock that became less powerful, this is due mostly to
a lack of food – as income fall, remittances are lost, and some contexts, food prices rise. In the
leadership of President Duterte, he hands over land 576.7 hectares of agricultural lands from the
different municipalities of Eastern Visayas to make their lands become productive and they become a
self-sufficient farmer in the country. Moreover, based on the latest government estimates, the country’s
average farm mechanization level is 1.23 horsepower per hectare (hp/ha). For rice mechanization alone,
the country’s average is 2.31 hp/ha.

2.The significant development that influences the development of the Philippine agriculture is through
diversification. Under the American regime, Philippine market is opened to US manufacturers. Some
American introduced plant during the American colonization were cocoa, wheat, watermelon, coffee,
cereals, vegetables and others. This includes fishing, forestry and mining and by adopting diversification
it emphasized the development of the Philippine agriculture.

3.The dominant factor that highly contributed to the development of the Philippine agriculture from
pre-colonial to the present era is that when Indo Malayan migrants introduced wetland rice culture,
with carabao as the source of animal power for tillage operation for the reason that until now, it is still
used by the Filipino farmers to plow their fields. And aside from developing idle land, having a carabao
serves farmers from physically transporting produce down the hills to the village and it is also used for
additional labour to plough the field to save more basic needs in farming
