Introduction
KATINYA BORROW PIT is privately owned by Ms Christine Lanyero Awany of the Land comprised in Katinya Bar-
Lyec Got Apwoyo County Nwoya District. With coordinates 343316,283492 343452 283549 343614 283171
343700 283273).This is based on Datum: wgs84 and Projection: UTM 36N

The Murram borrow pit had no previous extraction therefore this land was purely pristine. During
extraction of murrum different impacts have been consistently addressed.
Further there has been an extensive excavation at the borrow pit creating very steep slopes on the
eastern side of the borrow pit.
The subcontractor reiterates that upon completion of the project, the borrow pit will be restored and fully
vegetated, which will result in an improvement over existing condition.
BETACGC JV will continuously mitigate all the impacts arising as a result of our activities to satisfactory
levels as per the rules and procedures of the project.
