Prime Minister

The UK government is a single party
government, so all the members of the cabinet
and the PM belong to the same party.
Although the PM has more power, there is
collective responsibility.
The PM and the rest of the cabinet meets to
discuss matters, make decisions and apply
implementations.

The PM is the head of government (whereas the
Queen is the Head of State)
Ironically, it appears that the Queen is far more
powerful that the PM, but actually, it is the other
way around.
The PM is the head of the House of Commons.
The PM appoints the other members of the
government.
The PM lives 10 Downing St., above the office
where the cabinet meets. On the outside it does
not look very impressive, but it is large and very
important.
There is not a set term for the Minister to remain
in that position, they have to maintain the support
of the House of Commons that has a maximum of
four years.
Each county votes for a member of Parliament in
the House of Commons, but ISthe most powerful
member of Parliament covers the position of PM.
The Prime Minister is not as powerful as a
president as they cannot make decrees on their
own. However, the Prime Minister is responsible
to ensure that the government is working on
behalf of the UK.
The Prime Minister has to oversee the operation of
the Civil Service and government agencies and can
choose the members of the government.
