When cooking for a picky eater, it's often best to go with something simple yet flavorful.

One
dish that tends to be universally enjoyed is a classic pasta dish. Here's a recipe for a simple
yet delicious spaghetti carbonara:

Ingredients:
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup
of pasta cooking water, then drain the spaghetti and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the
bacon from the skillet and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.
Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the bacon grease and cook for about 1 minute
until fragrant.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and grated Parmesan cheese until well
combined.
5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and toss to combine. Remove the
skillet from the heat.
6. Quickly pour the egg and cheese mixture over the spaghetti while continuously tossing the
pasta to coat it evenly. The residual heat from the pasta will cook the eggs and create a
creamy sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, you can gradually add some of the reserved
pasta cooking water to thin it out.
7. Add the cooked bacon back to the skillet and toss everything together. Season with salt
and black pepper to taste.
8. Serve the spaghetti carbonara hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

This dish is simple to prepare but packed with flavor, making it an excellent option for a date
with a picky eater. Pair it with a side salad and some crusty bread for a complete meal. Enjoy
your dinner date!
