1. Concepts of assessment - Assessment is part of the learning process.

Assessment helps students


to become more knowledgeable, critical, competent and responsive. Through assessment, the
trainer can develop the competencies or talents possessed by each trainee. The competencies
expected and mastered by trainees after the training and learning process are competency, attitudes,
skills and knowledge.

2. Principles of assessment - It addresses several ways to ensure the effectiveness of assessment


programs, including using the right combination of assessment methods and conducting careful
assessor selection and training. It provides a reconceptualization of the role of psychometrics and
articulates the importance of a group process in determining trainees’ progress. In addition, it notes
that, to reach its potential as a driver in trainee development.

3. Design assessment tools and instruments – TESTS, PRACTICALS, ASSIGNMENTS AND QUIZZES.
They help to test and assess whether a student is learning what is expected. A well-designed test can
motivate and help trainees to focus on their academic efforts. Tests are powerful tools with a variety
of purposes for education. There are several test items to measure learning, for instance: multiple
choice, true or false questions, reading comprehension questions, fill in the blanks, etc.

4. Conduct assessments and record assessment results - Documentation is important as a means of


monitoring the quality of training.

5. Compile assessment reports and provide assessment feedback - feedback quality and feedback
delivery contributed greater change in assessment satisfaction. Feedback is essential to learning and
practice improvement, yet challenging both to provider and receiver. especially negative feedback.
