Famous Quote + How it Inspires You + Real-Life Examples

“You will stop worrying so much what other people think of you when you realize how seldom they do.”
— David Foster Wallace
I've had the habit of writing nice quotes in a tiny notepad since I was a child. Every day, I learn something
new and valuable, which is why I enjoy life so much. David's quote was the most inspiring of the lines I
recreated for myself, and it helped me approach life more peacefully and softly. David's quote awakened
me from negative thoughts about myself. I realized that I was wasting my time and mind worrying about
other people's eyes about me. I used to panic and worry that people around me would make fun of me for
my flaws. So I kept following other people's minds and doing everything I could to make them happy.
But I was wrong. As I read David's words, I realized that everyone has their own lives and
preoccupations, they do not have time to constantly scrutinize others. At the same time I understand that I
am not the "navel of the universe" to always receive the thoughts of others. As a result, I am more active,
happier, and lighter. I learned the lesson for myself that doing whatever I want and being the best version
of myself is the most important thing. I deeply appreciate those who make their own mark without
worrying too much about the eyes of others. I love the way vocalist Son Tung MTP never loses his
passion for music; he composes and performs in his own unique style rather than following the trends. I
admired Miss Universe Vietnam HHenie when she reached the top 5 Miss Universe 2018 because of her
confidence in delivering a message of female equality and anti-racism. Do not go along with the majority;
instead, be yourself. Do not be concerned about other people's gazes; instead, concentrate on yourself.
VISION STATEMENT
I have always been fascinated by the power of words and writing. I have always experimented with
creativity through writing about various aspects of life. Now that I am a marketing student, I want to
leverage my skills and experience to one day work as a professional content developer. I would like to
contribute my fresh and unique ideas to help the company grow, and later I would like to form my own
team. I will be a responsible, inspiring creative director with a desire to build a marketing company that is
constantly innovative, dynamic, and creative.
MISSION STATEMENT
With a passion for writing at my disposal, I wanted to develop the direction available in my plan in
stages. To become a professional content creator, I hone my skills and experience by working as a
freelancer or collaborating with marketing agencies. Next I will work in the corporation to accumulate
more advanced professional knowledge. That will be the fundamental stage in which I will lay the
groundwork for myself. Then there will be the growth phase, in which I will establish my own staff and
launch a small business. The above stages and goals will necessitate a significant amount of effort and
hard work. I will use the knowledge and skills learned in university to apply to my major. I will try to
cultivate the necessary knowledge base, read books and practice writing skills to follow my path.
STRENGTHS
My strongest suit is, without a doubt, my ability to connect. First and foremost, I am able to integrate into
the general job, study, and living environment. Others come to me to express their opinions and seek
connection from me, and I am always a good listener. I can easily connect with everyone in the team
while working together because of this strong aspect. When we are in a shared space, I believe that
connectivity is the most important aspect in increasing our productivity and efficiency. We will have the
collective strength to overcome challenges when everyone is connected. Furthermore, when supervising a
work process, a manager's ability to connect is crucial. Empathy for employees is fostered through
connections, which allows them to work more effectively, consequently strengthening my company.
According to a Gallup research, 30% of people at work have a best buddy. When compared to individuals
who did not report having a best friend at work, those with a best friend at work produced higher quality
work, reported higher well-being, were less likely to be harmed on the job, and were seven times more
likely to be involved in their careers. According to these findings, establishing social connections in the
workplace may boost productivity and result in measurable economic gains. (Julianne Holt-Lunstad,
2018)
Perfectionism is my second strong suit. Perfectionism may not be a strength for many people, but it is one
for me. Perfectionism helps me stay focused and committed to my work, which leads to better results.
Perfectionism is not 100% perfect for me, but it must be the best I can produce to the best of my ability.
This is quite beneficial when working. To provide the best work results, my staff will have to work hard
and with excitement; they will not be sloppy or lazy. My company will devise the most effective methods
with my consent. As a result, one of my strong points is perfectionism. “Setting goals, working to meet
them, realizing that things are not actually going to be perfect but always striving to do better is a healthy
version of perfection” (Dr. Gardner). “People who perform highly in their chosen field, like athletes or
musicians, are often perfectionists because they are always trying to be better.” (N.A, 2021)
The last strength I will discuss in this essay is assertiveness. When faced with an issue, I am prone to
making quick and definite decisions. I will make the ultimate decision based on the actual application and
the success rate that they bring during the cooperation process, with many alternative ideas and directions
offered by the members. As a manager, I am well aware of my enormous responsibilities. Therefore, my
decisions must be accurate, prompt, and decisive. I do not make decisions based on the crowd or personal
ego, I look at the overall value and make the final decision. As a result, my business runs better, stays
innovative and does not fall behind. “Assertiveness is a crucial communication ability. Assertiveness can
assist you in effectively expressing yourself and standing up for your opinions while also respecting the
rights and beliefs of others. Being aggressive can also help you improve your self-esteem and get respect
from others. This can help with stress management, especially if you have a hard time saying no and take
on too many obligations.” (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2020)
