Educational Tour: A Journey of Knowledge and Discovery

The educational tour embarked upon by St. Andrew Montessori & High School, Inc.
on December 1, 2023, proved to be a transformative experience for both students and
educators alike. The tour aimed to enhance the academic learning of the students by
providing them with real-world exposure and practical insights into various aspects of their
curriculum. The destinations chosen for the tour were meticulously selected to align with the
educational objectives and cater to the diverse interests of the students.
The tour encompassed visits to Gardenia Factory, Nuvali, and Enchanted Kingdom
each contributing to a different facet of the students' education. These destinations included
historical sites, scientific institutions, cultural landmarks, and natural wonders. The diverse
range of locations ensured a holistic learning experience, fostering a well-rounded
understanding of the subjects covered in the curriculum.

Gardenia Bread Factory

The tour included a visit to Gardenia Bread Factory in Santa Rosa Laguna and it
exposed students to real-world scenarios and industry practices. Witnessing the entire bread
production cycle – from raw ingredients to the final product – provides a comprehensive
understanding of the industry, its challenges, and the skills required. Observing the bread-
making process in a factory setting allows students to see the practical application of
theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom. It reinforces concepts related to food
production, chemistry, biology, and industrial processes. Also, safety protocols and measures
are crucial in industrial settings. A bread factory tour allows students to observe and
understand the importance of safety in food production, emphasizing the significance of
following guidelines and procedures. Field trips are inherently memorable, and the hands-on
experience in a bread factory can create lasting impressions. This type of experiential
learning tends to stick with students, enhancing their overall educational experience.

Nuvali Santa Rosa Laguna

Visiting Nuvali in Santa Rosa Laguna allowed students to immerse themselves in the
Real-world Application. Visiting Nuvali provides students with a real-world context for
learning. It allows them to apply concepts learned in the classroom to a practical setting. For
example, students studying economics can observe how businesses operate, understand
consumer behavior, and see marketing strategies in action. Additionally, it can equip social
spaces where people interact in various ways. Students can observe and analyze social
dynamics, communication styles, and the importance of customer service. It contributes to
the development of social skills that are valuable in both personal and professional contexts.
And in Nuvali it can reflect cultural diversity through the variety of stores, products, and
services they offer. Exploring different sections of a mall can expose students to a range of
cultures and lifestyles, fostering an appreciation for diversity.

Enchanted Kingdom
And for the most awaited destination the Enchanted Kingdom. Field trips to
amusement parks offer a range of advantages, providing students with a unique and enriching
educational experience. Here are some key advantages. Like it can provide a hands-on and
interactive environment where students can apply theoretical knowledge in practice. This
experiential learning enhances understanding and retention of concepts in subjects like
physics, mathematics, and engineering. The various rides and attractions stimulate multiple
senses, making the learning experience more memorable and enjoyable. Amusement Park
rides often involve principles of physics, such as gravity, motion, and centrifugal force.
Observing and experiencing these concepts firsthand helps students grasp abstract physics
principles in a concrete and practical way. This kind of field trip encourages teamwork and
collaboration among students. Coordinating schedules, navigating the park, and participating
in group activities promote the development of social skills and teamwork. Certainly,
amusement parks provide a break from the usual classroom setting, offering a more relaxed
and recreational environment. This change can reduce stress, enhance students' mental well-
being, and contribute to a positive attitude toward learning. Many amusement parks offer live
shows and performances, providing students with exposure to various forms of entertainment
and artistic expression. In conclusion, an educational trip to an amusement park goes beyond
mere entertainment. It offers a multifaceted learning experience that combines theoretical
knowledge with practical application, promotes social development, and leaves a lasting
impact on students' educational journey.

Throughout the tour, students actively participated in guided tours, workshops, and
interactive sessions. Engaging with experts and professionals in various fields allowed them
to ask questions, seek clarification, and gain firsthand knowledge. These interactions not only
enriched their academic understanding but also inspired them to consider future career paths.
The educational tour proved to be a resounding success, achieving its objectives of
enhancing academic learning, fostering a holistic understanding of subjects, and inspiring
students to explore beyond the confines of the classroom. The memories and lessons acquired
during this journey will undoubtedly contribute to the overall development of the students,
shaping them into well-rounded individuals with a thirst for knowledge and a global
perspective. At the conclusion of the tour, students were encouraged to reflect on their
experiences. Many expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge
with real-world scenarios. Teachers observed a positive change in students' attitudes towards
learning, noting increased enthusiasm and curiosity.
