I have always wanted to become an English teacher,which is one of the most essential

/ɪˈsen.ʃəl/ and dispensable/dɪˈspen.sə.bəl/ occupations /ˌɒk.jəˈpeɪ.ʃən/ in human life.

In order to become a professional English teacher, I would have to obtain the
Bachelor’s /ˈbætʃ.əl.ər/ Degree in English Linguistics and the Certificate/səˈtɪf.ɪ.kət/ of
Pedagogy/ˈped.ə.ɡɒdʒ.i/. Which is all about the training course of teaching English to
make me professional teachers. More than that, this job requires me to have patience
/ˈpeɪ.ʃəns/ because I need to meet up with a lot of different students who come from
different backgrounds and various personalities. That is why, on top of all, social
skills are critically /ˈkrɪt.ɪ.kəl.i/ important. In addition, a teacher should have excellent
/ˈek.səl.ənt/ communication , interpersonal skills and a passion for teaching and
learning.

Teaching English involves doing thorough research on methods of learning

and teaching a language and then apply the right one in specific cases. Teachers also
prepare material and activities to class time to make sure that contents will be
delivered /dɪˈlɪv.ər/ within an amount of time, say 45 minutes or one hour , and most
importantly, students will be engaged /ɪnˈɡeɪdʒd/ in the lesson. On top of that, assign
homework and tests and exams are needed to check students’ progress and make
any changes if necessary.
Although it's a good job, the teacher has to suffer from several stressors such as:
Score, teaching method, students and their parents. Therefore, patience,
diligence/ˈdɪl.ɪ.dʒəns/ and good qualification are thought to be 3 main key factors to
become a good teacher.
I like this job for several reason:
First of all, I like children very much. It's also the main reason that make me want to
be a teacher. Although they are often a little active, I believe that I have enough
patience to teach them.
Second, I can get to meet many students who always have a story to tell and I
believe we can learn something from them like life experience, another perspective
/pəˈspek.tɪv/ towards some common social issues /ˈɪs.juː/.
Finally English is tend to be the most popular language in the world so in my opinion,
it's so important for people in Vietnam to learn it. After that, I think that teachers have
a very convenient /kənˈviː.ni.ənt/ schedule /ˈʃedʒ.uːl/ so I can spend more time for myself and
my family than some other jobs.
In short, I look forward to pursuing /pəˈsjuː/ this career path. That’s all I would like to
