Delivering My Instruction
Instructional delivery encompasses the dynamic interaction between students, teachers, and
the educational material, all aimed at equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes
necessary for ongoing learning and effective collaboration in an ever-evolving, diverse society.
This process involves the application of various teaching strategies to effectively communicate
and engage students with the subject matter.
The instructional delivery process revolves around employing a diverse set of teaching
methods to effectively convey and interact with students regarding the academic content while
fostering their active participation.

The choice of delivery method holds significant importance in the design of learning
activities, as it directly influences students' ability to develop the requisite competencies,
knowledge, and insights necessary to attain predefined learning objectives, which will
subsequently be evaluated. Furthermore, the delivery of instruction must remain adaptable and
pertinent to the contemporary needs and demands of the era.

Various Learning Delivery Modalities from the Department of Education

➢ Distance learning- Distance learning is a method of education where students and teachers
are physically separated, and instruction is typically delivered through various
technologies, such as online platforms, video conferencing, or printed materials.
➢ Modular Learning- Modular learning is an educational approach that divides the
curriculum into self- contained units or modules, allowing students to progress at their own
pace and focus on specific topics or skills.
➢ Online Distance Learning- Online distance learning combines the use of the internet and
digital resources to deliver educational content to students who are geographically
separated from their instructors or educational institutions.
➢ Home Schooling- Home schooling is an educational option where parents or guardians take
on the role of teachers and provide instruction to their children at home, rather than sending
them to a traditional school.
➢ Blended Learning- Blended learning is an instructional approach that combines both
traditional face- to-face classroom instruction and online or digital learning experiences,
offering students a mix of in- person and remote learning opportunities.
➢ Traditional Face-to-Face Learning- Traditional face-to-face learning is the conventional
method of teaching and learning that takes place in physical classrooms, where students
attend classes in person and interact directly with teachers and peers.
➢ Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM)- Alternative Delivery Modes refer to various non-
traditional approaches or methods of providing education and instruction, often tailored to
meet the specific needs or circumstances of students, such as distance learning, online
courses, or modular learning.
Participate and Assist
After you have written your lesson plan, confer with your Resource Teacher on how you
can participate/assist in delivering instruction in one of his/her classes. The Robert Gagne’s Nine
Events of Instruction will guide you to implement various steps well.

Complete the given matrix by using Gagne’s Nine Events of Instruction, once a lesson is
assigned to you. Consult your Resource Teacher if your plans are ready for implementation or your
assistance is needed in any part of the lesson.

Notice
How did the students react to the activities/various elements to arouse their interest?

Were the students focused when you were stating the learning objectives at the beginning of the
lesson?
• I didn’t see their reaction but I know some of them are happy
How did the new learnings relate with what they really know?
• Yes, because they want to know and they want to learn so they listen to me in the very

• They use new knowledge to help their other classmates
Did the students find difficulty in applying the theories/concepts learned to real life?
• Yes, I talk them personally so I can learn more about what they don’t know yet and what
they still want to know.

How did you students react to your feedback?

• Some students find it hard but some students find it easy to. They also adapt them in real
life situation
What pieces of evidence can prove that the students had retention of learning?
• During their performance evaluation, they also score in their higher best and they learn in
their very best way
Analyze
After Planning your lesson(s) you may be requested by your Resource Teacher to deliver the
lessons (s). Your Resource Teacher will use a classroom observation sheet to evaluate the delivery
of your lesson (s) Schools use different tools in rating in classroom/online observations.

Below is an example of a classroom observation form/sheet. Let your Resource Teacher use
this in evaluating the delivery of your lesson.

Overall impression of teaching effectiveness

As an observer, I believe the teacher has created an excellent teaching approach that involves everyone in
the learning process. This teaching method seems highly effective, fostering a collaborative classroom
environment where each person contributes to everyone else's learning.
Reflect
1. Having implemented several lessons in your cooperating School under the supervision of
your Cooperating Teacher, in what areas of the lesson do you need to improve?

Through my involvement with the participating school, I have distinguished a couple of regions
where I can work on my educating. I can see the significance of a decent learning climate and have
a discipline both physical and virtual homerooms.
