The story revolves around the life of Dodong and his girlfriend named Teang who

happened to marry each other at a young age without considering the fact that building your

own family with a stable living condition is difficult and also not fully understanding the life

of a married person. He thinks that married life ends there but the consequences he gained

just happen to be his son Blas who also decided to marry at a young age the same thing as

what happened to him. He got no choice but to agree with his son even though he does not

want to because he already knows what will happen if you marry at a young age, he does not

want his son to experience the same hardships he faced and he does not want to repeat what

had happened in the past which happened to his father’s life. The story focuses on teenage

marriage. The story talks about the hardships of life, regrets on the decisions we make out of

emotions, and the results of our choices.

Dodong had a hard life because of his choices. He didn't fully understand the

consequences he may face with his decision. He didn't realize that life is not all about the

happy and lovely moments, it is all about the hardships we face every day to be able to

proceed and continue to live. Hardships are part of life that makes us stronger to uplift our

lives to be in a better position. Hardships are something we can control, we can surpass and it

is all about determination and passion.

Dodong did not listen to his father and made a decision out of his emotions and love

for his girlfriend Teang and got married so fast that he regretted it because they were not

ready for it. Regrets are always part of our decisions. Deciding is hard but having regrets is

much harder because of what if's you have in mind. Always remember to be in a position

where you were calm and peaceful before making decisions in life because regrets always

come late and will make you realize something you could have thought of in the first place.
Regardless of the decisions you make, you have to learn from other people's experience and

stop it from repeatedly happening, break the pattern, be the lesson.

The result of the decisions of Dodong reflected on his life with his wife Teang and the

history that might repeatedly happen with his son Blas. If he wouldn't do anything about it

and stop it from happening Blas might go through the hardships he goes through. The results

of our actions, decisions, and choices may not be in favor of us but it will give us realization

and will slap us with realities. The results of it may give us a heartful truth but through it, you

can be an example to other people and be a blessing to them. Experience is the best teacher

but we need to keep in mind that learning from others' mistakes can bring out the best in us.

We need to wake up, move forward, and take action to be able for others to not commit the

same mistakes we have taken.

The story gives us a lesson that we can apply in our daily lives and that is we may not

be able to go back to the past but I am certainly sure we can be an example to secure

someone's future. Teach them to think realistically and not fantastically. Life is not all about

happy endings but the process to achieve your definition of happy ever after. We all know

that people will always follow their hearts without hesitation. They will do anything to get

what they want especially the youths today and then regret it in the end. Hardships, regrets,

and their results are part of our life decisions and we need to take its lessons and think to

better ourselves for the future. We must always remember to use our brains and make a

smarter move in choosing the best option in life because life is all about options and you

make the decisions better step up the game and be ready for every consequence you may

gain.
