EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH Guidelines

Implementing a monthly employee recognition program can significantly impact the


entire COMPANY team.

Objective

The objective of ‘Employee of the Month’ is to recognize and acknowledge


outstanding employees. It serves the following purposes:

 Increased morale and motivation- It uplift employee’ morale and motivation by


establishing a workplace culture that embraces success and recognizes
exemplary performance correlates with increased employee happiness that leads
to motivation and retention.
 Performance management- Employees are given recognition based on their
performance. It is a strategy that will increase productivity and the quality of work
they provide. Also, it will enable them to have a continuous improvement and
growth.
 Promotion of company values and culture-. The recognition of employee of the
month reflects and promotes positive work culture which highlights the well-being
of employees. It aligns the individual efforts with the overall values, mission and
vision of the company.

Tools/ Methods

The primary method for evaluating the Employee of the Month will involve the use of a
form. The form link will be disseminated thru Newsletter and Slack group.

Analyst managers must continuously remind their team to support this HR program.
Moreover, HR will remind the Slack general group weekly every Monday.
Process

The recognition of Employee of the Month will be given to TOP 3 awardees.


Nominations will start from 1st week and will end on 3 rd week of the current month,
reflecting achievement for the previous month. The announcement will be on Monday of
the final week.

For example:

Employee of the Month for January

Nomination date: February 5 - February 23

Posting: Monday: February 26

Policy (Criteria)

Employees will be evaluated from the criteria below, using Likert scale to rate how well
nominee meets each particular criterion.

1- Rarely
2- Occasionally
3- Moderately
4- Frequently
5- Consistently

The following are the criteria in choosing the ‘Employee of the Month’

Criteria Evidence
Performance excellence Shows outstanding performance within
their role, regularly meeting or surpassing
set objectives and standards.
Quality of Work Consistent delivery of high-quality work,
demonstrating attention to detail,
accuracy, and timeliness.
Teamwork and collaboration Collaborates effectively to the team and
contributes to the attainment of shared
objectives.
Positive attitude and morale Maintains good attitude with colleagues
that contributes to positive work
environment and harmony.
Initiative and proactive Contribution Actively suggests improvements to
processes, shows familiarity with
company policies, and willingly takes on
new responsibilities or tasks.
Continuous Growth Commitment to personal and professional
development by attending relevant
training, displaying a willingness to learn
and adapt.

Scoring

The top three awardees will be chosen based on highest score/ average from the
criteria, as well as the greatest number of nominations.

Total points per nomination: 35 points

Rewards

The top three (3) awardees of Employee of the Month will be announced via the Slack
group, and HR will furnish them with a certificate of recognition. Furthermore, each
awardee will receive a monetary reward of 500 Pesos, to be credited to their respective
payroll accounts on the 15th of every month.

Conclusion
Acknowledging exceptional employees with the Employee of the Month awards will
inspire them to persistently pursue excellence and actively foster a positive workplace
environment.
