Principles of Art
Assignment #2 Art appreciation

By: Aubrey Mae Pulido

Art revolves around us
Art transcends mere visual expression. It is a profound language that
communicates ideas, experiences, imagination, and thought-provoking subjects.
Just like the phrase, Art is more than what meets the eye. It goes beyond aesthetics
and technique. It can evoke emotions, provoke thought, and inspire action. It
represents more than just its physical form. It encapsulates stories, memories, and
cultural contexts. Each brushstroke, sculpture, or photograph carries layers of
significance.
Well, art originates from personal experiences, it has the power to resonate
universally. It speaks to themes like love, loss, identity, and the human condition.
Aside from that, Art invites viewers to engage emotionally, intellectually, and
spiritually. It invites interpretation, reflection, and dialogue.
In short, we as a viewer can thorough Look, See, Think. Like when we encounter art in
national museum, we first look with our eyes, then truly see by observing details, and
finally think by drawing on our existing knowledge and emotions.
In all, art is a bridge between the tangible and the intangible—a vessel for human
expression, connection, and exploration. Art in short is why we live.

Elements of An Art
The significance of elements of art are evident around us as we use symbols to
communicate and convey different meaning for understanding. Like the application of

Principles of Art
The principles of art are the guidelines that artists use to organize the elements of
art in their compositions. They help to create meaning, emotion, and impact in a
visual language. In my opinion, the principles of art are important because they can
enhance the quality and effectiveness of any artwork, regardless of the style,
medium, or genre.
