Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Ryan a really great effort especially as you have missed lessons because of your course at Hayesfield. Really the only things that cost you a distinction were your pronunciation of some of the words and the order in which the valves of the heart open and close. This was a very impressive assessment well done. Overall Grade: F P M D Signed Date

Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Really good work Cameron your did the minimum to get a distinction however still earned the grade well done. You have obviously been doing your revision and this has helped your understanding massively. Every part of the respiratory and cardiac system was named correctly. Overall Grade: Signed F P M D Date

Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Kye I feel that you did well to get a pass however with a little more revision could have easily turned it into a merit. You named all the parts of the cardio-respiratory system well however got stuck on occasion and needed prompting in the right direction. The main thing that prevented a merit was the basic description of the valves and way they work this was a shame as the rest of the assessment was very good. Overall Grade: F P M D Signed Date

Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: An easy pass George however it again is the pronunciation of the words which has prevented you from gaining a better grade. You had clearly been revising though and it is never easy to remember difficult vocabulary when under pressure. I was impressed by your determination and your understanding of the processes involved was also good. Overall Grade: F P M D Signed Date

Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Well done Alfie, as a none GCSE boys you have done exceptionally well to actually pass this test at the first go especially at the merit level. You named all the mani structures and were only let down by a simplistic version of the way the valves work in a double pump action. Overall Grade: Signed F P M D Date

Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Well done Danny at your third attempt you managed to get all the parts of the cardio-respiratory system right a with very few prompts. You main area for development is actually pronunciation of the words you are trying to say. You can only practice this yourself as often you are able to spell out the words. Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: By far and away the best in the class and the only pupil to mention the actual conduction system of the heart. All structures were well named and you clearly have a very good understanding of the double pump system. Overall Grade: Signed F P M D Date

Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Ashley if youd have mentioned the valves or the conduction system in a little more detail then you would have easily achieved the distinction grade as your naming of the structures of the cardio-respiratory system was very well delivered particularly when under pressure this was impressive. Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Well done Seb you did a great job achieving a pass as this is not your strong area. However you have improved your pronunciation of words even since the first skeletal assessment, this shows the kind of effort you are putting into the subject well done. Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Well done Adam a good assessment you have clearly done sufficient revision for the test particularly because you had not done GCSE PE and were starting a little behind some other pupils in terms of background knowledge. You naming of the structures was spot on but to achieve a distinction you needed to describe the double pump and talk in a little more detail about the respiratory system. Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Well done Adam you looked confident during this assessment task and this must be largely put down to the effort you have put into learning the information given to you. You named the structures really well but to get a better grade you would have needed to describe the double pump action and also mention in a little more detailed the work and action of the valves. Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Well done Jamie this was a well revised assessment task for you. In order to get the higher grade you would have needed to talk in a little more detail about the timing of the 4 valves in the heart and the fact that the heart works as a double pump as well as not needing a few prompts at the start of the assessment (although you did correct yourself when you made mistakes) Overall Grade: F P M D Signed Date

Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Dan you are one of only a few pupils who managed to get he distinction grade, your understanding of the subject is excellent despite attendance not being great. You named all the structures of the cardio respiratory system well without prompting. This again is proof that you are capable and intellectually you are very able but you still need more work on your own personal and social skills. Overall Grade: F P M D Signed Date

Overall comments/Suggestions for improvement: Bradley you showed a good understanding of what was asked of you and as normal your recall in these assessments was very strong indeed, However to get a distinction grade you would have needed to think a little outside of the box and mention the work of the 4 heart valves in a little more detail.
