- Invite children to prompting question about insects/ creepy crawlies
- Scatter the miniature insects on the floor and demonstrate the game to
tasked to find the insect, identifying and picking up the insect
- Children will make an artwork to illustrate the insect and colour at jar
template

February - Gather the children (Counting – Number Booklet)
2024 - Play a video book: One Boy
- Invite children to recap and reflect on the numbers in the book.
- Paste the flashcards with numerals 1 to 5 randomly on the whiteboard
- Invite children to come up to the whiteboard to point at the correct
number as announced by the teacher.
- Children will identify the number on the worksheet, then dip the cotton
buds in the paint and make dots on the number identified.

- Have children observe and explore their surroundings with their telescope.

- Gather the children (Personal Health – Protecting Your Skin)


- Play, Vegetable Song.
- Encourage children to sing and dance to the song.
- Prompt children to discuss about healthy eating and having vegetables for
their meals.
- Explain to the children that they are doing vegetable printing activities in
small groups
- Ensure that all vegetables are prepped beforehand.
- Prepare a few paint colours.
- Get children to identify the vegetables picked for printing.

- Show children the Pout-Pout Fish characters chart
- Invite children to come up to it, point and name the insects/ creepy

Numeracy

- Gather the children (Counting – Number Booklet)


- Play a video book: One Boy
- Show the children the bag.
- Inform children that it is a mystery bag
- Children will close their eyes and put their hands in to feel it.
- Children will put their hands into the bag and grab as many marbles as
possible.
11.55-12.00 - Then, count the number of marbles grabbed.

- Play the song: Rock Scissors Paper and encourage children to follow the

- Play the video book : Little Blue and Little Yellow
- Children will be making artwork using yellow and blue paint with
dropper/syringe.
- Place A4 paper into a tray
- Pour some blue and yellow paint on the dry paper towel
- Use the dropper/syringe with the teacher’s help to drop blue and yellow
paint on the dry paper towel.
