about Goa Barangay Histories”

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

1. Participation is open to any individual, Barangay Council, or

established vlogger residing within Partido Area.
2. Each participant or group may choose ONE BARANGAY from the 34
BARANGAYS OF GOA to focus on for their vlog entry.
3. Vlog entries musts be between 5 to 7 minutes in length.
4. The video must include the following elements:
a. History of the Barangay: Participants must provide an overview
of why the chosen Barangay is named as such, incorporating
historical context and anecdotes.
b. Traits of the People: Participants should showcase the unique
traits and characteristics of the residents of the Barangay,
highlighting what sets them apart.
c. Notable Personality: (Optional) Participants are encouraged to
feature a notable personality or individual who has contributed
to the development and progress of the Barangay.
d. Old Stories of Individuals: Participants are urged to include
fascinating anecdotes and stories shared by individuals within
the Barangay, offering insight into the rich oral tradition and
cultural heritage of the community.
e. Video Quality and Editing: The clarity, visual appeal, and
technical proficiency of the video, including camera work,
composition, and editing techniques used to enhance the
overall presentation.
5. The content can be presented through interviews, storytelling, or a
combination of both, but must be informative, engaging and
respectful of the Barangay’s history and culture.
6. Additionally, the language to be used in the vlog should be either
Bicol or Filipino.
7. Participants must conduct thorough research to ensure the accuracy
and authenticity of the information presented in their vlog entry.
8. Any historical facts or anecdotes should be verified through reputable
sources or interviews with knowledgeable individuals within their
Barangay.
 9. Participants are required to USE ONLY THEIR MOBILE PHONE
CAMERAS to create their vlog entries.
10. The emphasis should be on producing clear, quality video and
audio that effectively conveys the content of the vlog.
11. Editing software or apps may be utilized to enhance the visual
and auditory elements of the vlog, but the focus should remain on
clarity and ease of understanding for viewers.
12. Participants are encouraged to ensure that their vlog entries
are well-lit, visually appealing, and free from distracting background
noise to optimize the viewing experience.
13. Participants must secure their entry forms that will be released
by the Municipal Tourism Office through Tourism Operations Officer,
Mrs. Sheila B. Visitacion.
14. Submission of ENTRIES will be on APRIL 15, 2024, 3pm at
Municipal Tourism Office, it must be accompanied by a brief
description of the Barangay chosen and a list of sources consulted
during the research process.
15. Participants must adhere to ethical standards and respect the
privacy and cultural sensitivities of the individuals and communities
featured in their vlog entries.
16. The Barangay Council are encouraged to support and facilitate
the participation of resident and vloggers within their respective
Barangays.

17. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

 Historical Accuracy/Content- 30%

o The extent to which the history of the Barangay is
accurately portrayed, and the story is well-organized.
 Creativity and Presentation- 30%
o The creativity and effectiveness of the storytelling, editing,
and overall presentation of the vlog.
 Quality of Research- 20%
o The depth and quality of research conducted to gather
information for the vlog entry.
 Video Quality and Editing- 20%
o The clarity, visual appeal, and technical proficiency of the
video, including camera work, composition and editing
techniques used to enhance the overall presentation.
AWARDS AND PRIZES:

Best VLOG- P15, 000 + P5,000 (Barangay chosen)

1ST Runner Up- P10,000 + P3,000 (Barangay chosen)
2nd Runner Up- P5,000 + P2,000 (Barangay Chosen)
3 Consolation Prizes- P2,000 each
