About the Vitality Ster-Kinekor movie benefit

Reference to principal member or main member; spouse; adult dependent and/of child
dependent carries the specific meaning defined in the Vitality Main Rules.

Child dependents under 18, specifically between 2 and 18 years old on the main member’s
Vitality Health membership can watch movies for free at selected cinemas before 7pm, after
completion of an online Kids Vitality Health Review. Complete the Kids Vitality Health Review
every 12 months to keep the Vitality Kids movie benefit.
The Vitality Kids Movie benefit is only applicable to child dependents under 18 who are on the
main member’s Vitality membership.

The Vitality Kids movie benefit is not available to Vitality Active members. See Vitality Active
Benefit rules here.

What you pay

You pay your monthly Vitality fee and:

• Half price for a 2D, 3D and a Cinema Nouveau movie ticket
• 25% less on your Cine Prestige, NT Live or IMAX movie tickets.

Please note: The discounts referred to in this document are related to the current movie
ticket prices. Prices for movie tickets can change at any time at Ster-Kinekor’s discretion. If
there is a conflict between the price reflected on the hyperlink and the price at booking, the
price stated at the time of booking will apply.

We are moving away from the issuing of physical movie cards for the Vitality Ster-Kinekor
benefit and will be going fully digital. However, you can still use your physical movie card to
make a movie booking. If your movie card is lost or stolen your Ster-Kinekor card number is
available on the Discovery app.

The cost of 3D glasses, refreshments and other costs not explicitly referenced in this
document are excluded from the benefit offering.

How to activate the benefit

Download the latest version of the Discovery app, log in and navigate to the rewards section
under Vitality to activate the Vitality Ster-Kinekor movie benefit.

The main member can activate the benefit for all dependants on their Vitality policy. The spouse
on the main member’s Vitality Health membership can activate the benefit for child dependents
under 18 years only if they are the child’s legal guardian. They will need to warrant that they
are the legal guardian of the child dependent in question and provide this consent in the
activation process. Vitality shall at all times reserve the right to request valid proof of such
spouse’s guardianship. Any other dependants over 18 years on the Vitality policy can activate
the benefit for themselves.

The initiator of the activation process will need to agree to the terms and conditions of the
benefit. Vitality will securely share the member’s personal details with Ster-Kinekor to activate
the benefit. These personal details include the name, surname and date of birth of each
member selected for activation.

Should a member opt in to Ster-Kinekor’s marketing communication, the initiators email

address will also be sent to Ster-Kinekor and the marketing communication thereof will be
managed by Ster-Kinekor directly. Discovery Vitality will not share personal member
information with Ster-Kinekor for marketing communication purposes.
Once the benefit is activated you will receive an SMS notification. You can then access your
digital Vitality Ster-Kinekor movie card in the digital cards section on the main menu. IOS
users can view their digital cards on the Apple Wallet app

Vitality Ster-Kinekor digital card

• Download the Discovery app onto your iPhone or Android smartphone and then log in
to the app.
• Select the navigation panel on the top left of the app screen.
• Select Digital cards and accept the terms and conditions to view available passes.
• Add a Profile image to your digital card.
• iPhone users, you can view your digital card in the Discovery app or select Add to
Digital Wallet to move it to your Apple Wallet.
• Android users, you can view your digital card in the Discovery app.
• Use your Vitality Ster-Kinekor digital card number to make a movie booking on
www.sterkinekor.com or on the Ster-Kinekor app.
• If you’re the main member, your digital card will be updated to include all your
dependants’ card numbers so you can book discounted movies for the entire family. If
you’re the spouse, your digital card will be updated to include the child dependents
card numbers if you activated the benefit for them and are their legal guardian. Once
the child turns 18 years old, their Ster-Kinekor card numbers will no longer be available
on the spouse’s digital card. Any other dependants over 18 years on the Vitality policy
can view their own Ster-Kinekor card numbers.

This benefit is different to the Ster-Kinekor Movie Club

• The Vitality Ster-Kinekor movie benefit is different to SK CLUB. Different prices, rules
and limits may apply.
• You can belong to both the Vitality Ster-Kinekor movie benefit and SK CLUB.
However, you cannot use the Vitality Ster-Kinekor movie benefit with any other
discount, including the SK CLUB discount.

You can only watch a movie once

You can only watch a movie once at the Vitality rate. If you want to watch the same movie
twice, you must pay the normal Ster-Kinekor rate the second time. You also cannot book
multiple movies for the same time slot.

The Vitality Kids Ster-Kinekor movie benefit

• Child dependents under 18, specifically older than two years and younger than
18 years on the main member’s Vitality Health membership can watch 2D and 3D

 movies that start before 7pm for free at selected theatres. This free-movie benefit
does not apply to IMAX, Cine, NT live or Prestige cinemas.
• Children qualify for the Vitality Kids Ster-Kinekor benefit on the day of the child’s
second birthday and ends the day before the child’s eighteenth birthday. After that, the
standard Vitality Ster-Kinekor discounted movie rates will apply.
• Vitality kids can use this benefit for 12 months from the date that the main member or
spouse completes the online Kids Vitality Health Review. You can view this
assessment on the ‘Track and earn points’ page once you log in to your Discovery
profile.
• To keep the free-movie benefit, the main member or spouse must complete the Kids
Vitality Health Review every 12 months for child dependents under 18 years of age.
• For example, a Kids Vitality Health Review is completed on 5 January 2021. The child
has access to the Vitality Kids Ster-Kinekor benefit up to and including 4 January 2022.
If a new Kids Vitality Health Review is not completed within those 12 months, then the
Vitality Kids free movie benefit will expire. The benefit reverts to the Vitality
Ster-Kinekor benefit until a new Kids Vitality Health Review is completed.
• You can use this benefit as soon as the event for the Kids Vitality Health Review
shows on your Vitality Points Tracker. You can view this on the Track and earn points
page once you log in to the Discovery website.
• Child dependents under 18 on the Vitality kids movie benefit can enjoy the movies with
their parents at Cine, Prestige or IMAX, but need to pay the Vitality-discounted adult
rate at these cinemas.
• The Vitality Kids card must be chosen on the website when booking a movie in order to
get the kids discount.
• Children may not watch the same movie more than once.
• Children may not watch movies if they are not within the age restriction for the movie.
• Vitality kids can enjoy movies after 7pm but will pay the Vitality-discounted adult rate
at any Ster-Kinekor cinema.

Ending the benefit

This benefit ends if your Vitality membership is cancelled or you cancel your Vitality
Ster-Kinekor benefit.

The Vitality Kids movie benefit ends once your child turns 18 years old, your Vitality
membership is cancelled or you cancel your Vitality Kids Ster-Kinekor benefit.

Third party consent for using the Vitality Ster-Kinekor movie benefit

By using the Vitality Ster-Kinekor movie benefit, you agree to these limits, terms and conditions.
By activating this benefit, you consent that Discovery Vitality (Pty) Limited, their authorised
partner network and third parties (Ster-Kinekor Theatres Proprietary Limited) associated with
the benefit may process your personal information, which includes the personal information
of the child dependents on the main members Vitality membership, as well as transaction data,
in accordance with the Vitality Main Rules and our privacy statement to administer the benefit
effectively.
