Concrete Crack (Shrinkage) and Rebound Hammer Test Resport - Pamix SDN BHD
Sir.
- Concrete Crack
Refer to the above matter, rve acknowledged your complaint regarding first floor's corcrete slab crack and
have attended the cornplaint on last Saturday. 24't' Octob er 2A20.
Based on our site investigation, cracks formation is identified as shrinkage crack and not structural
crack. Normally. shrinkage crack happens due to hot weather, concrete compaction. non-curing and relative
humidity ol ambient air.
Following that. rebound hammer test has been conducted accordinglv to obtain in-situ concrete
compressive strength. Enclosed together with this letter is our rebound hammer test report of 19 days age
concrete arrd tlris report reflected our concrete has passed its Grade 30 compressive strength of aged 28 days.
Hence. structural rvise, the slab structure is safe and sound. Our responsibiliq, as ready mix concrete
supplier is to ensure our concrete strength complied with its specification and any works at site is beyond our
control.
Therefore, our suggestion to avoid this *,ater leaking from happening again is to apply cement
rendering of thickness l0 mm or putting a layer of plastic slreet before installing parquet floor as your
finishing product.
Hence, we hope this matter can be resolved amicabiy and we will strive tu(her to ot'fer our senice and
product to our best ability.
Regards,
