in the mountains. Ephraim also is like a silly


dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria. And it shall be, if the wicked man [be] worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause
him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number. And a [certain] man drew a bow at a venture, and
smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of
the host; for I am wounded. And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from
Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. And Nabal answered David’s servants, and said, Who [is] David? For he maketh small the drops of water: they
pour down rain according to the vapour thereof: Which the clouds do drop [and] distil upon man abundantly. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a
man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. Now both the chief
priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew [it], that they might take him. Bury
therefore thy dead. These [are] those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of
the camps throughout their hosts [were] six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty. And the daughter of Tyre [shall be
there] with a gift; [even] the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour. Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two
hundred [shekels] of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah.
But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. And they shall teach no more every man
his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith
the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things
that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I
will tell you by what authority I do these things. Thou coveredst it with the deep as [with] a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. And of
Hushim he begat Abitub, and Elpaal. Hide them in the dust together; [and] bind their faces in secret. And there came two angels to Sodom at even;
and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing [them] rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; And he said,
Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on
your ways. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in [his]
brother’s way. Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. And the smoke of the incense, [which came] with the
prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand. And Shechem said unto her father and unto her brethren, Let me find grace in
your eyes, and what ye shall say unto me I will give. And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? My beloved is gone down into his garden, to
the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies. And ye went over Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought
against you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I
delivered them into your hand. And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of
Sin, which [is] between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. And it came to pass
on the morrow, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost [part] of the people.
Let the field be joyful, and all that [is] therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to
judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth. Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth,
but hast fretted me in all these [things]; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon [thine] head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt
not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations. And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw [it], that they hasted and rose up early, and
the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that [there
were] liers in ambush against him behind the city. Then say thou, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also. A man shall eat good by the fruit of
[his] mouth: but the soul of the transgressors [shall eat] violence. And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him: for the king of Assyria went up
against Damascus, and took it, and carried [the people of] it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every
man to profit withal. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Return into the city
in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar. Nevertheless for thy great mercies’ sake thou didst not
utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou [art] a gracious and merciful God. For they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.
And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh’s army, Then Jeremiah went forth out of
Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, to separate himself thence in the midst of the people. If a damsel [that is] a virgin be betrothed unto
an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them
with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, [being] in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so
thou shalt put away evil from among you. Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it [is] most holy. And
Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan. Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee? And
he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. And he put the candlestick in the tent of the
congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward. And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a
great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner [or no], I know not: one
thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be
past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man die, shall he live [again]? And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will
this people provoke me? For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? [Is] not my help in me? And the living creatures ran and returned
as the appearance of a flash of lightning. And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel
weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten [shekels] weight of gold; And said, Whose daughter [art] thou? And the God of peace shall bruise
Satan under your feet shortly. But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they
were baptized, both men and women. And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their
sins once a year. He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold? And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with [his] face to the
ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD. For the customs of the people [are] vain: for
[one] cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim,
and Dodanim. [Then] the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab the son of Helon [shall be] captain of the children of Zebulun. And Jacob said unto them, My
brethren, whence [be] ye? When he uttereth [his] voice, [there is] a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from
the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the
son of Oded: And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD [is] with you, while ye be with
him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. For so hath the Lord commanded us, [saying], I have
set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. 1And above [were] costly stones, after the
measures of hewed stones, and cedars. And ten young men that bare Joab’s armour compassed about and smote Absalom, and slew him. Then came the word
of the LORD unto the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, that sent you unto me
to inquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land. These [are] also proverbs of
Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out. And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy
servant. And they went out, and preached that men should repent. And say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant Jacob [is] behind us. O continue thy
lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. Who is this Son of man? And the coney, because he cheweth
the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he [is] unclean unto you. And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the
moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should
go. 1I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever. And they took all the spoil, and all the prey,
[both] of men and of beasts. Will ye contend for God? Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye [even] to me with all your heart, and with
fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he [is] gracious and
merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
Hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh
year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month. He that sendeth a message by the
hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, [and] drinketh damage. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit,
and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the
world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This [is] the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s
heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said. The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five. When Moses saw [it], he
wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold [it], the voice of the Lord came unto him, [Saying], I [am] the God of thy fathers, the God of
Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath
found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let
his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? And they said, Unto
John’s baptism. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto
Naphtali; and they came up to meet them. My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. But I [am] a
worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth [it is], that your God [is] a
God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry
them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, [and] shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. And whatsoever
house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now
already past, Paul admonished [them], And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the
lading and ship, but also of our lives. And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses [up] to the top
of the mount; and Moses went up. And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the
birds divided he not. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew
[their] strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment. Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou
greatly enrichest it with the river of God, [which] is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. And if ye [be]
Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he
that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and
sinews. But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which [Solomon] had built for her: then did he build Millo. I sat not
in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation. And all wept, and bewailed
her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood,
and of stone. But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. And the LORD
spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then
shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD. And they went up into the city: [and] when they were come into the city, behold, Samuel came out
against them, for to go up to the high place. And [the spirit] cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that
many said, He is dead. For he remembered his holy promise, [and] Abraham his servant. But in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon [the same]
king Cyrus made a decree to build this house of God. The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor,
the God of their father, judge betwixt us. For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their
tongue [is] deceitful in their mouth. Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks
of the wild goats. But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate all my company. So [are] the paths of all that forget God; and the
hypocrite’s hope shall perish: Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust [shall be] a spider’s web. So the Syrians feared to help the children of
Ammon any more. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. All
the days of his separation he [is] holy unto the LORD. And when he thought thereon, he wept. And all the people that heard [him], and the publicans,
justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. And [this is] the east side. And they came near. And by the border of Dan, from the east
side unto the west side, a [portion for] Asher. These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. [It is] time for
[thee], LORD, to work: [for] they have made void thy law. And Saul’s uncle said unto him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And they shall scoff
at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it. If thy brother
be waxen poor, and hath sold away [some] of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother
sold. Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Simon answered and said, I suppose that
[he], to whom he forgave most. But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not.
Blessed [is] the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have
faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be
impossible unto you. But he said, Then bring meal. For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. The LORD [is] King for
ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land. And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which [is] for himself, and make an
atonement for himself, and for his house. So Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead. The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he
addeth no sorrow with it. Like a crane [or] a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail [with looking] upward: O LORD, I am
oppressed; undertake for me. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is] that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for
either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. They are exalted for a little while, but
are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all [other], and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn. And the Philistines from
Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass’s head was [sold] for
fourscore [pieces] of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove’s dung for five [pieces] of silver. For I say unto you, That except your
righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. For we shall all
stand before the judgment seat of Christ. These were the sons of Jerahmeel. And when all the Moabites heard that the kings were come up to fight
against them, they gathered all that were able to put on armour, and upward, and stood in the border. The LORD hath appeared of old unto me,
[saying], Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh
to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it [was] an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more [will he clothe] you, O ye of
little faith? And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses. Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king
of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought [them] to Damascus. Verily I say unto you, I will
drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God. With arrows and with bows shall [men] come
thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. His
teeth [are] terrible round about. For who will hearken unto you in this matter? Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought
David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and
have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, [and] to slay such as be of upright conversation. [In] the day that thy walls are to be built,
[in] that day shall the decree be far removed. And he gave him tithes of all. And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his
brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who [were] weeping [before]
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. And the arches thereof
[were] toward the outward court; and palm trees [were] upon the posts thereof, on this side, and on that side: and the going up to it [had] eight
steps. O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, [and] the measure of thy covetousness. So all Israel were
reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they [were] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, [who] were carried away to Babylon for their
transgression. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. And certain men which came
down from Judaea taught the brethren, [and said], Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. And they said unto him,
Caesar’s. For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known
me. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. O ye sons of men, how long [will ye turn] my glory into
shame? And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide [it] among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the
fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the
Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us? But without a
parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples. And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this
man that is come up? Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that [it is] an evil
[thing] and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear [is] not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts. And God said, Let
there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients
of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor [is] in your houses. Depart ye, depart ye, go ye
out from thence, touch no unclean [thing]; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD. And when they lifted up
their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads
toward heaven. Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out [the corn]. Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy
face against Zidon, and prophesy against it, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the
midst of thee: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her. So God created
man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I
hated. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. She is
not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household [are] clothed with scarlet. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the
holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And [having]
an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil
conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of [them that are] slain in
the midst of the seas. I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy. And Jacob said, O God of my father
Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee: I
am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this
Jordan; and now I am become two bands. But [as for] the children of Israel which dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them. For I am
full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me. If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and
it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing [it]: [Then] shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto
his neighbour’s goods; and the owner of it shall accept [thereof], and he shall not make [it] good. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly
[concerning] oppression: they speak loftily. I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. And he said, If now I have
found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it [is] a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and
take us for thine inheritance. Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive
their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of
him that was to come. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? Then Joshua built an altar unto the
LORD God of Israel in mount Ebal, As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of
Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up [any] iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed
peace offerings. Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon
them [when they were] by Gibeah, which [belongeth] to Benjamin. For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is
better than a dead lion. And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the
friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

and in all the cities that [be] along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house
which [was] toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth
