A luxury apartment designed as a weekend home for a young bachelor in Delhi focuses on

Design Ideology
Crafted as an open plan, the design strategically uses glass partitions to divide spaces, coupled
with marble and metal as material choices, it offers a contemporary space for a young bachelor.

Floor Plan

Site location
The 7400 sq. ft apartment is located in DLF Camellia; one of the most luxurious apartment
complexes in India offering residents uninterrupted views of a large golf course, a lake and
Aravallis beyond. The apartment unit has been designed to capitalize on the view and enhance
connection with the greens.

The unit is a single flat on the entire floor, consisting of two master bedrooms; one to be used
by the client and the other to be used by the parents. The unit also has a guest bedroom,
kitchen and utility areas.

Entrance Corridor
As soon as one enters the house, they are greeted with an art infused
corridor. The custom designed eagle console immediately establishes
the masculine feel that is continued throughout the house.
Another art piece that adorns the space is a tree encased in a full
height glass box.

Living Area
The open living room plan features a large seating area, a bar counter
and a dining area. The living and dining area are divided using a clear
glass partition ensuring a sense of divide yet keeping the vision
uninterrupted. The bar counter is designed as an art installation with
singular wooden boxes interlocked to create a jagged and masculine
table.

Kitchen
Imported from Italy, the kitchen is light in shade as compared to the rest of
the house. The space is designed with ample storage and an island layout.

Parent’s Bedroom/Master Bedroom 1

Laid out for an elderly couple, the room uses softer materials to offer a rustic and
homely feel to the entire space. It incorporates a large seating area featuring a
marble center table and a wooden chair with metal finish. Unlike any other space
in the house, the room has wooden flooring to offer a relaxed and intimate space.

Parent’s Bedroom Toilet

Featuring white and gray color palette, the bathroom is finished with marble,
glass and metal. The wardrobes are covered with polyester covering and laminate
to increase their longevity.

Master Bedroom 2
Designed to heightened the masculine feel, the bedroom uses dark
tones of marble and metal throughout. The room is divided into two
parts; the bed area and the dressing area with a bathroom. A leather
finish large bedrest offers a beautiful backdrop to the entire bed area.

Master Bedroom Bathroom

To offer a sense of connection with the view outside, the luxurious
bathroom has been designed with a flip glass which can turn
opaque or transparent with a click of a button. One can sip wine in
the bathtub while enjoying the uninterrupted views of the outside.

Guest’s Bedroom
Featuring a dark tinted glass wardrobe, and curated art pieces, the guest bedroom
features dark tones as seen throughout the house.

Conclusion
The space successfully invites users to experience grandeur and functionality.
The dark tones of metal, marble, and glass offer masculine feel throughout. With
carefully curated art pieces integrated in the design, the space become a perfect
home for the bachelor.
