As part of the University of Glasgow’s membership of the Universitas
21 network, we are delighted to have established a medical student
exchange programme with the University of Sydney.

Each year, we will be able to nominate up to four University of Glasgow

students for the opportunity to undertake an elective with one of the
University of Sydney’s Clinical School and their affiliated teaching
hospitals. For 2024 this is:

Nepean Clinical School/Nepean Hospital

These students will have their application fee (AUD$200) and tuition
(AUD$900) fee waived.

UofG students can arrange an elective with this institution out with
this exchange programme but will be responsible for all fees charged.
However, these elective placements for the 2024 intake have been
allocated so no further placements will be offered to inbound elective
applicants for 2024. Applications for 2025 Inbound Elective
placements will open 8th July 2024 so you may wish to take a note in
your diary if you will be undertaking your Senior Elective in 2025.
