Overview
Goal 17 of the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) focuses on “Partnerships
for the Goals.” This goal emphasizes the importance of
collaboration between governments, the private
sector, civil society and other stakeholders to achieve
the other 16 goals. It recognizes that no entity can
achieve sustainable development alone and that
partnerships are crucial to share knowledge,
experience, technology and financial resources.

strengthen partnerships and
capacity among governments,
civil society, and the private
sector.

Emphasizing the importance of
mobilizing financial resources,
technology transfer, and

Colombia has also taken important steps to
advance Goal 17 and promote partnerships for
sustainable development, for example,
Encourage collaboration between the
government, the private sector, civil society
organizations and other stakeholders to work
towards achievement of the SDGs.

support to developing countries.

Promote the development of environmentally sound technologies and their

transfer, dissemination and dissemination to developing countries.

Significantly increase exports from developing countries, in particular with a view

to doubling the share of least developed countries in world exports.

Respect the regulatory margin and leadership of each country to establish and
apply poverty eradication and sustainable development policies.
How can you or your school help or
contribute to achieve this goal?
As students, we can support to raise awareness about
the importance of sustainable development goals and
encourage others to join initiatives for sustainable
development. The school can contribute by integrating
the SDGs into the curriculum, organizing awareness
campaigns, engaging students in sustainable projects and
collaborating with local communities to promote
partnerships for sustainable development.
