Assembly operation before the rail inspection trolley goes on the road:
1) MEASLLEY frame is a non-dismountable integral structure, which does not need to be
assembled or disassembled when being taken out or put in the packing box;
2) When the trolley is on the track, first, the gauge measuring wheel at the measuring end of
the trolley (the side with gauge measurement expansion) is pressed against the inner side of
the rail, and then the trolley is pushed to the inner side, so that the measuring wheel at the
fixed end of the trolley can be put into the inner side of the rail on the other side. After being
placed, the trolley can be freely pushed on the rail;
3) Then insert the trolley push rod into the clamping position of the frame base and fix it,
and adjust the rotation of the push rod to a suitable position;
4) Finally, rotate the computer bracket to a suitable angle, and clamp the measuring tablet
computer into the bracket;
5) Open the top cover of the trolley, put it in the battery box, connect the connecting line
between the main control unit and the battery, and open the main control unit;
6) The calibration of trolley inclination sensor is completed by the method of forward and
backward. At the same time, it is suggested to verify the measured data of trolley gauge with
grade 0 gauge. If there is a large deviation in the indicated value, the trolley gauge sensor
should be calibrated.
7) Hang the battery box on the tripod at one end of the total station, and connect the radio
station, total station and battery with Y-shaped cable. Open the total station to complete
leveling, station setting and other work;
Bluetooth connection is adopted between FZ-G1 tablet computer and data processing
unit (DPU). Bluetooth pairing connection is completed on FZ-G1 tablet computer, and the
operation method is as follows:
1) Open the settings panel of Win10 system;
3) Select [Bluetooth] device, make sure Bluetooth is on, wait for FZ-G1 tablet computer

to automatically search for data processing unit (DPU), the device name is "MEASLLEY _
XXXX" (XXXX is the unique number of DPU with 4 digits), click MEASLLEY _ XXXX,
the pairing button will appear, click the pairing button, enter the pairing password "1234", and
click [Next]
4) Wait for the successful connection and pairing of the devices, as shown below.
6) For a certain data processing unit (DPU), only one Bluetooth pairing connection is required,
and then open the set communication port directly in the software, and the FZ-G1 tablet
computer will automatically connect with the data processing unit through Bluetooth serial
port.
Please note: If the data processing unit (DPU) of the trolley is replaced, or the paired
FZ-G1 tablet computer is replaced, the original Bluetooth connection (if any) should be
deleted on the FZ-G1 tablet computer, and the connection should be paired again according to
the above steps 1) to 5), check the outgoing port number generated by the new Bluetooth
connection, and modify the communication port settings in the trolley acquisition software on
the FZ-G1 tablet computer.
Generally, the outgoing port number generated by the new Bluetooth connection will
continue to increase after the previous (virtual) port number, but it will not cover the previous
port number. If the Bluetooth connection is deleted and newly built for many times, the virtual
port number will become larger and larger. At this time, you can clear all the virtual port
numbers according to the following methods: run the Windows system registry editor, find the
key value in the figure below, delete the key value (ComDB), and then re-establish the
bluetooth pairing connection to generate the virtual port number. Note: the bluetooth outgoing
port number of FZ-G1 tablet computer cannot be COM3 (the default SQL port of the system).
If the outgoing serial port is COM3, please delete the bluetooth connection and reconnect it,
and then the outgoing serial port will become COM5/COM6.

As wireless communication is adopted between the trolley and the total station, the
selectable communication channels are 1 ~ 16. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the
radio station of the total station and the trolley’s radio station are in the same communication
channel. Generally, they have been configured as the same communication channel at the
factory. If the radio station or data processor (DPU) of the total station is replaced, or there are
more than two cars in the same communication within a short distance range (within 1.5Km),
the communication channel between the car and the total station should be modified by
setting the communication channel at this time.
1) Remove the radio station, Y-shaped connecting cable and external battery from total
station , and connect it to the port of DPU of the trolley according to the method shown in the
figure below (1-1, 2-2), and insert the big 5-star connector of Y-shaped cable into the external
battery at the total station end.
4) Select "Radio Channel", specify the communication channel (1 ~ 16), and click [Write
Radio Channel] button.
5) Remove the radio station and Y-type connecting cable from total station , and connect to
the total station to start normal communication.
5.4 Operation of replacing the data acquisition unit DPU or tablet PC of the
trolley
Each track inspection trolley leaves the factory after strict inspection and calibration, and
its calibration parameters are stored in the trolley data acquisition unit DPU. During the use of
the trolley, the data of each on-site calibration (superelevation and gauge) is also stored in
DPU. When the system works normally, the factory parameters between the DPU and the
trolley tablet computer will be automatically synchronized. After the trolley data acquisition
unit (DPU) or tablet computer is replaced, opening the measurement interface, and the
MEASLLEY track inspection trolley acquisition software can immediately find out and give
the following tips:
Please select the actual replacement parts (DPU or tablet PC) and click the [OK] button,
and the software will synchronize the original synchronized factory value parameters of the
trolley to the replaced equipment, so as to ensure that the trolley can continue to be used
without re-factory calibration after replacing the equipment.
For static track measurement, high-precision Leica total station must be equipped to

Suggestions: gauge, level, left rail direction, right rail direction, left height, right height.
When these data are out of limit (red or yellow), they should be adjusted until these
indicators are not out of limit.
2. Basic principles of fastener adjustment
According to the method: first reference rail, then opposite rail.
Adjust the horizontal and elevation of the reference rail with the rail direction and
height index until the rail direction and height of the reference rail do not exceed the limit,
and then adjust the opposite rail with gauge and level.
3. Operation method of fastener adjustment
1) Set the minimum adjustment amount of fasteners. Select [Fastener Adjustment] on
the top toolbar, and the menu options shown in Figure 8-8 will appear. The optional
minimum fastener adjustments are: rail direction and elevation are 0.5mm and 1mm
respectively.

Select the [Save Adjustment] button, enter the fastener adjustment data file and save it.
Note: The fastener adjustment file here is only the fastener adjustment data file approved
by the software, which is used to copy the adjustment results, or it is convenient to view
the previous adjustment results after re-entering the software, and it is not the adjustment
results report required by the user. If the user needs the report of adjustment result, please
export it in [Adjustment Report] in the [Output Result] menu.
5. Load fastener adjustment file
Click [Adjustment File] on the top toolbar, select [Load Adjustment Amount] button,
select the saved fastener adjustment amount data file, and load it.
Prompt: When the software exits, it will automatically save the adjustment data of the
user's current adjustment section, so as to avoid the user losing the previous adjustment work
without saving. The next time the software enters the fastener adjustment window and adjusts
the same section, it will automatically load the adjustment data of the last exit. If you don't
need these automatically loaded adjustment data, you can select [Clear Adjustment Data] in
the [Fastener Adjustment] menu to clear it.
Manual fastener adjustment can make full use of operators' experience to make accurate
and effective adjustment, but its disadvantages are low operating efficiency and labor
consumption.
The software provides the function of automatically simulating fastener adjustment. Users
can set a variety of adjustment standards for automatic adjustment. After the adjustment is
completed, it can ensure that the rail direction, height, gauge and level of the reference rail
meet the requirements of construction specifications. Then, manual inspection and local
adjustment can quickly realize the adjustment of analog fasteners, which greatly improves the
operation efficiency. Next, the operation process of automatically simulating fastener
adjustment will be explained.
1. Selected plane and elevation reference rails.
In the [Reference Rail] at the top of the main window, select the rail direction
and the hight of reference rail as the left rail or the right rail. The principle of
automatic adjustment is to adjust the reference rail according to the short-wave ride
index of the reference rail, and to adjust the opposite rail according to the gauge and
level.
Figure 8-11
4. Select the elevation reduction limit
Elevation adjustment and levation reductionis space of different fasteners from
plane are limited , and even there is a restriction that no reduction is allowed.
Therefore, before adjustment, please select the elevation reduction limit in the
drop-down menu of [Fastener Adjustment], as shown in Figure 8-12.
Figure 8-12
5. Select fastener adjustment standard.
Select the fastener adjustment standard from the [fastener adjustment] drop-down
menu, as shown in Figure 8-13.
Figure 8-13
The difference of different adjustment standards is that the requirement of allowable
deviation is increased, the adjustment strength is increased, the construction specification is
the smallest, and the design scheme II is the largest. The design schemes I and II are
summarized based on many years of on-site track adjustment experience. It is recommended
to adjust according to user standard or design scheme I standard.
The following table shows the adjustment ratio of fasteners for each adjustment standard
in a certain section, for reference only.

If "User-defined Linear Fitting" is selected, the software requires the user to set the
interval to be fitted, and input the starting mileage and ending mileage of the fitting interval
from top to bottom according to the increasing direction of mileage, and the intervals can be
discontinuous.
7. After setting the automatic fastener adjustment parameters, start the automatic
fastener adjustment process.
After setting the automatic fastener adjustment parameters, click [Automatic Fastener
Adjustment] in the drop-down menu of [Fastener Adjustment], and wait for the automatic
fastener adjustment to be completed.
8. After adjustment, manual check and local adjustment must be carried out.
The software can only be adjusted according to the ride comfort data, and at the same
time, the limit of the minimum fastener adjustment should be considered. Therefore, the data
processing in some special cases is rather mechanical and has limitations. Therefore, after
the automatic adjustment is complete, the whole needs to be manually checked, and the local
details need to be manually corrected and adjusted.
After the adjustment of the local analog fastener is completed, you should check the
overall curve analysis diagram of the lateral and elevation of the left and right rails to show
the overall curve effect after the adjustment of the analog fastener. Click the [Overall Curve]
button to open the overall curve display window:
