PSC-VETTING INSPECTION COURSE

Scope

This Module Course is designed to prepare ship officers and crew in the
administration of vetting inspection on their respective vessels as
specified under the Inspection guidelines and standards developed by the
Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) members, based on
international conventions such as SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW etc. and
industry-accepted technical guidance such as ISGOTT (International
Safety Guide for Oil Tankers and Terminals) and other international
standards.
Likewise, this course shall cover pertinent requirements in the
implementation of Port State Control to International Vessel.

Objectives

On completion of this course the participant shall be able to:

1. identify the objectives for the requirement of Vetting/PSC

inspection;
2. determine the requirements for a Vetting/PSC inspection;
3. explain the procedures in preparing for the conduct of
Vetting/PSC inspection; and,
4. demonstrate how to be subjected on Vetting/PSC inspections;
5. understand how to handle PSC and Vetting Inspectors/Auditors.
