This retreat is nonprofit and any proceeds go towards Medito Foundation. If you would like to make a

All guests must be aged 18+, or accompanied by an adult

Getting here by car:

The site is best found by following the postcode to the local pub, the Glass House Inn, GL17 0NN
and from the A40 turn on to Saunders Close which is west of Huntley and follow up over the hill
and down the other side to the Glass House Inn where you will pick up the brown and white “Into
the Woods” signs. Keep an eye out for the bear at our entrance. Come in the gate (closing it behind
you) and follow the track deep into the woods. The wooden gate is the last to open before heading
to the car park. From there everything is signposted.

Car sharing
There will be a WhatsApp group with other guests so you can discuss car sharing.

Getting here by train


The nearest train station is Gloucester. If you are arriving by train, we can help to arrange taxis or a
shared minibus from Gloucester train station to the retreat site.

Food:
● We will provide healthy, plant-based meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner, tea and coffee, snacks.
● Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or allergens.

Activities:
● Meditation, mindful walking, swimming in the lake and talks on mindfulness, compassion and
insight with the founders of Medito Foundation.
● A full schedule will be provided in the run-up to the retreat.
● The welcome & introductions session will take place at 5pm on Friday, after everyone has
arrived.
● The retreat will end at 11am on Monday.

Things to bring:
● Water bottle
● Torch
● Sun protection
○ Sunscreen
○ Sun glasses
○ Sun hat
● Raincoat / poncho
● If you’re camping: tent, sleeping bag, pillow
● A notepad and pen (to do some journaling)
● Towel and toiletries
● A book for reading in your free time, if you wish
● Swimwear, if you’d like to swim in the lake

Facilities:
● Electricity:
○ Power is limited, so you cannot use hair straighteners, hair dryers but you can charge
your phone.

● Toilets:
○ The composting toilets are biodegradable and eco-friendly. They are very easy to use.
Men, please sit when you pee, or feel free to pee on a tree. With the cup provided throw
some sawdust into the loo before you use, then once finished tip a cup or two on top.
There will be no nasty smell, our toilets are top of the range and activaely ventilated.
Please use the bin provided for all sanitary products.

● Water:
○ All the tap water is drinkable.

● Rubbish:
○ Be mindful of the rubbish and waste, the animals were here first. There’s a large bin in the
kitchen, make sure the lid stays on. Loose rubbish can be a problem, especially if it blows
into the lake.
○ Use the recycling container inside the cupboard behind the kitchenette for all cans,
cardboard, paper, foil, plastic. Rinse and clean all recycling before throwing it into the bin.
There is a large bin store in the car park please drop your bin bags in there and use the
bin store for recycling. You can use the bin store at any time throughout your stay.

● Communal kitchen
● Indoor and outdoor seating areas
● Communal fire pit
● No wi-fi, but most networks have good 4G reception (we recommend doing a digital detox!)
● Bedding is provided in the yurts. Please bring your own if camping.

Fire
Inside each Yurt is a WindySmithy wood burner and, outside, a tripod BBQ and fit pit. We will
provide you with wood for your stay. If you need more an honesty box is in the Hub and a net of
logs costs £5.

Smoking is permitted on site but not in the yurts or in the Shepherds hut. Ashtrays are provided.
Candles are a fire hazard, so please do not use them in the Yurts.

Housekeeping
Glass breakages can be dangerous in this setting. We have provided limited glass on site however if
you do break something please inform one of the Medito retreat team members.

Emergency Procedures
Each Yurt has a carbon monoxide smoke alarm and a small fire extinguisher. The kitchenette has a
fire blanket.

In case of fire, alert one of the retreat team members and assemble in the car park.

Terms & Conditions

On making a booking with us, each person attending must accept these terms and conditions.

All guests must be aged 18+, or accompanied by an adult

Payment: The price is the exact amount to be received by us in British Pounds irrespective of
fluctuations in currency and irrespective of any third party transfer charges.

Your Travel Arrangements: All travel arrangements are your responsibility and at your own cost.
We shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from delays or cancellations in any of the
companies you may have made arrangements with, or for any irregularities in your documentation
required for travel. Transfers to/from the retreat are at your own cost, unless otherwise specified.
Easily accessible by train or car. The nearest mainline train & bus station is Penrith, approximately
9 miles away.

Travel Insurance: It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance covers the activity of
your retreat with us as well as unexpected cancellation, sickness, losses and all the usual risks. You
should bring the policy with you in case of an emergency.
Your Health: It is your responsibility to let our teachers know if you have any injuries and to be
mindful at all times of your own body’s capability during our retreats. If you experience any injury
or discomfort during any activity during the retreat, then please stop participating immediately.

It is also your responsibility to consult a doctor with an understanding of yoga and fitness to check
that you are sufficiently fit and healthy to undertake yoga classes and other physical activities that
you may choose to do whilst on the retreat.

Please advise us of any mental or physical health conditions and dietary requirements before you
book. If you have health conditions and dietary requirements that may be affected by the activities
offered on our retreats we reserve the right, for your own wellbeing, to advise you to stop
participating.

Whilst all measures are taken to ensure a high standard of health and safety, some of our retreats
and walks during the retreat will involve walking on land that is uneven and we shall not be
responsible for any injuries caused by uneven terrain.

We ask that women who are 12 to 28 weeks pregnant, or anyone with any health issues, for
example, a heart condition or back problems, check with their health practitioner to confirm that
they are fit to travel and able to engage in the physical activities that we provide.

Cancellation by you:

You (or any member of your party) may cancel your booking at any time, but please note:

● If you cancel 21 days before your retreat you will be refunded in full, minus 15%.
● If the cancellation is made within 21 days of the start of the retreat, you will not be refunded,
unless you or we find another person who can take your place. We may then offer a partial
or full refund.
● Once the retreat has begun, no refund or part refund or unused portion of the retreat will be
repaid in the event of cancellation by you.
● Bookings are for the stated period of the retreat. There are no refunds for an unused portion
of the retreat. If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of your Insurance
Policy, you may be able to make a claim on your insurance.

Amendments by us:

If changes have to be made by us (e.g., teacher, itinerary or venue), which we reserve the right to
do at any time, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible.

Cancellation by us:
If we cancel the retreat, we will offer a full refund of all monies paid.

Our liability to you:

We accept responsibility for ensuring that the retreats are supplied as described and that the
services we are contractually obliged to provide are to a reasonable standard.

We do not accept any liability for cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war,
terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster,
technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, unforeseen changes in your personal
circumstances or other events beyond our control.

We are not liable for any injuries you may incur. Yoga and movement classes are undertaken at your
own risk. We are not liable for any medical or psychiatric conditions, which may develop during or
subsequent to the retreat. We are not liable for loss of, or damage to, your personal property.

Liability for possessions:

It is your responsibility to ensure that your vehicle and other possessions, or anything that you
have hired (such as a hire car) are kept safe at all times. We accept no responsibility for such
belongings.

Privacy:

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties. Any
personal information that you share with us will be used only for the service you requested and
remain confidential.
