Music in the modern world

Nowadays music is pretty common topic for conversations. So, what are the most
popular types of music? And how have preferences in music changed over the
years? I’m not really into music. I even don’t have any favorite songs. Either way, I
can say a few words about each type. Let’s start with the most well-known and
common style – classical music. Classical music is understood as any composition
that emerged during classicism, which includes the years 1750 to 1820. In most
cases classical music is slow, calm, refined, emotional. The next style will be rock –
the opposite of classical music. It’s hard, loud song with mostly angry lyrics. Not
everyone likes rock, cause it is specific music. Personally, I don’t admire such
music. The last type will be pop. Identifying factors of pop music usually
include repeated choruses and hooks, short to medium-length songs written in a
basic format and rhythms or tempos that can be easily danced to. Moreover, pop
is now the most popular music genre. Also, there are many different types of
music, but I talked about common one.
I don’t have any favorite music genre. When I heard something cool and catchy, I
don’t care about type of this music, I just download it and listen. So, my playlist
includes songs in various styles. It is to be noted that I, obviously, hate russian
songs.
