[Exercise 4]

(1) Assuming that the slip plane is {110} and the slip direction is <111> in a BCC crystal,

list up all distinguishable slip systems in the BCC crystal in a form like (110) [-111].

(2) A single crystal of Iron (having BCC structure) is deformed in tension along [135]

direction. Calculate Schmid factors for every distinguishable slip system, and then

show the primary slip system in this case. Assume again that the slip plane is {110} and

the slip direction is <111> in the Iron crystal.
