SCOPING OF WORKS IN TECHNICAL EVALUATION STAGE-2 -CONCEPT
DESIGN PRESENTATION
Bidders qualified in Stage-1 of technical evaluation shall be given with a
stipulated time frame. These bidders shall be provided with the following
information of requirement details:~
1. Design brief on requirements.
2. Indicative number of RO category wise for providing suitable design.
3. Approximate construction cost (incl. of interiors & development works) per
sq.ft. This is to be considered as yardstick for design presentation purpose
only. However, BPCL reserves to revise this cost upward / downward as per
the requirement.
The Concept Design proposal should demonstrate that the bidder has
developed an intimate understanding of BPCL’s requirement with reference to
the scope of services mentioned in the RFP document. The applicant will submit
the presentation including entire contents of the technical proposal in a USB
drive along with a submission package during / after design presentation (audio-
visual) as part of the technical proposal to the Committee. All drawings, designs
and layouts must be submitted in (.pdf) format & (.dwg) or other open formats
also, if required.
The Concept design proposal should include’
‘+ The drawings covering indicative concept proposal for layout, RVI,
Facilities, Material Design. There shall be one option for each Highway.
Urban & Rural class of market, such alternative drawings, graphics based
on Class of Mkt & plot Sizes. Also, One general layout for standalone EV
station and one layout for exclusive Gas station
‘+ The concept Architectural designs made for layout, RVI, Facilities, Material
design should be explained in the form of Drawings (2D/3D), sketches with
plans, sections, layout at suitable scale, notes & views to show Architectural
Character of the RO, Forecourts, Canopy, RVI, buildings, allied structures
(view in night & day)
‘+ Soft copies of the design proposals (all drawings in high resolution PDF
format)
‘+ A brief introduction about the consultancy firms proposed to work on this
project (not exceeding 5 pages)
* Approach to design including drawings, sketches, diagrams, and any other
information that can concisely and yet comprehensively explain the
applicant's concept psychology and design approach.
+ Key professionals and consultants proposed to be deployed for the project
with their experience and details (not exceeding 10 pages)
‘+ Detailed study of existing facilities/ layout of BPCL Retail outlet and to come
out with the challenges being faced
+ Functionality & Maintainability study of existing facilities and ways & means
to improvise the same.
+ The design presentation to clearly articulate key areas like Aesthetics,
Originality/Uniqueness/Novelty, Delight / X-factors, Sustainability/ESG
aspects in design, Spatial planning/utilization, Traffic! Fuelling Points
Efficiency, Materials, Functionality and Maintainability, Cost Effective
Design (Value for amount spent), Compliance with statutory regulations,
Project & Programme Management.
