A HOLIDAY ITINERARY FOR 10 DAYS

Brief Description
Students think of places a tourist should visit in their country in 10 days by bus. They should decide on six places worth
seeing in their country. Students do research using the Internet, the printed or online press to collect information and
illustrations about the places. The information should cover the following headings like the name of the place, what to
see, what to do, where to stay and what to eat. Students should decide from where tourists will start and the places they
will visit. They prepare their leaflet using the information they gather. They will share their ideas through
photos/drawings and text in PowerPoint presentations, short video movies or a class poster presentation that they will
present at school.

Objectives
• Improving students’ visual and writing skills
• Exploring a topic about touristic attractions
• Engaging in a student-directed learning project
• Using technology tools to prepare a project

Project Format
• Class Poster Presentation
• PPT – PowerPoint Presentation
• Video

Project Plan
• Students will decide on the places that they will describe on the leaflet.
• Students should choose at least six places to describe, draw pictures or find visuals and narrate their own
texts about the places for the tourists.
• They will practice communication, presentation skills, writing and technology skills.
• They will create a PowerPoint, a holiday e-magazine, or a class poster with the collected material.
• Each student should present his/her project in the class after the project’s due date.
• Alternatively, students can record/podcast their presentation at home and show it in the class instead of
presenting their PPT in the class.
• Students should use “Student Checklist” to control their work and to review the project process.
• Students should submit this paper along with the project.
