GENERAL PROVISIONS FLUTE LESSONS COURSE YEAR 2023-2024

1. Course Duration:

a) The course duration is generally 36 to 38 lessons of 30 minutes or 60


minutes in case the student takes lessons every week. Starting in the month
of September/October 2023 , ending in the month of June/July 2024
(depending on the holiday spread of the relevant academic year).
b)Otherwise by mutual agreement the student can have a 10 lessons contract.
c) The lessons take place at CKE Eindhoven,Pastoor Petersstraat 180.

2. Course:

a) By filling in and signing this teaching agreement, a commitment is


entered into for a definite period of time (see Article 1/a) to teach/take
lessons involving CLAUDIA VELOSO , hereinafter referred to as “teacher”, on
the one hand, and the student/tuition-payer on the other hand.
b) The lesson times, lesson forms and lesson frequencies are determined in
mutual consultation and confirmed in writing or by email by the
student/payer.
c) If a lesson is canceled due to absence or illness of the teacher, the
missed lesson will be made up at a time to be agreed upon. In the event of
illness or absence, the teacher can also choose to have the lesson replaced
by another teacher or the lesson will take place online.
d) If a lesson cannot take place due to the student's absence, there is no
right to make up or refund the missed lesson (for an exception, see article
2/e).
e) In case of timely cancellation of the lesson by the student/payer (at
least 5 days before the relevant lesson), it is possible to make up for the
lesson at a time to be determined (whether or not online). This catch-up
lesson cannot be guaranteed and the tuition fee will not be refunded if it
is not taken.
f) The costs of the teaching materials are for the account of the
student/payer.
g) No rights can be derived from the content of the course by the student,
parents or payment obligations, nor by any music association or company
involved. They also have no say in the artistic, methodical and didactic
content of the course.
h) The student is free to participate in extra activities such as concerts,
competitions, workshops and exams. Participation costs for this will be
charged extra, if applicable.
i) There are no lessons during school holidays (primary education) and
national holidays. Depending on the course of the course, the teacher
determines whether a lesson takes place on Good Friday and on the Friday
after Ascension Day.
j) The teacher has the right to refuse, suspend or discontinue teaching a
student, stating urgent reasons.

3. Payee:

a) Tuition is due upon signing of the lesson agreement. This applies to


pupils who are minors or adults as well as to a pupil who is under
guardianship.

4. Lesson rates and payments:

a) The rates are based on a lesson contract of 36 lessons for the academic
year 2023-2024(see article 1/a). Or 10 lessons contract (see article 1/b)
b) Payment of the tuition fee takes place exclusively on the basis of the
invoice sent to the person liable for payment. Cash payments are not
accepted.
c) If applicable: In order to qualify for a tuition fee voucher from the
Municipality of Haaren/Oisterwijk/Boxtel/Sint-Michielsgestel/Den
Bosch/Tilburg, the tuition fee must be paid in full in 1 installment. You
will receive an invoice for this together with this agreement. Otherwise
payment will be collected each 1rst day of the month for four weeks in
advance( Monthly ).
d)The payment of 10 lessons contract must be paid in full in 1 installment.
e)The teacher also draws the student's attention to the fact that there is
a website where they can investigate whether they are eligible for other
financing options (e.g. Welfare Fund):

f) The course fee is indexed or adjusted annually.
g) In the event of late payment of the tuition fee, the person liable for
tuition will receive a written reminder. With a second reminder, the
invoice amount will be increased by € 15.00 administration costs.
h) In the event of negligence in payment, the student loses the right to
participate in the lessons and the amount due for the entire duration of
the lesson agreement, increased by any collection costs, will be due at
once.
i) In the event of non-compliance with the financial obligations by the
person liable for tuition fees, the teacher has the right to hand over the
claim.
j) All costs to be incurred by the teacher with regard to the collection of
the tuition fees due, both judicial and extrajudicial, are for the account
of the person liable for tuition.

5. Registration, Cancellation, Refund:

a) Registration for the course is done by completing and signing this


lesson agreement. The agreement relates to the academic year 2023-2024.
b) The student must register again for each new academic year. This
agreement is not tacitly renewed.
c) Interim registration during the academic year is possible.
d) All administrative changes must always be communicated to the teacher in
writing or by email.
e) Termination of an agreement can only take place in writing or by email.
The notice period for this is 1 month.
f) For interim dissolution of the agreement, after two consecutive missed
lessons, the teacher grants exemption to:
1. illness/injury of the student for more than 2 consecutive months. A
medical statement from a doctor and/or hospital is required for this.
2. death of the student.
3. Relocation of the student to another municipality outside a radius of 15
kilometers outside the municipality and only if this relocation is reported
at the beginning of the academic year.
4. Pregnancy of the student.
g) If the lesson agreement is dissolved during the academic year, the
remaining tuition fee will be refunded.

6. Liability:

a) The teacher is not liable for personal injury to the student caused by
an accident during the course.
b) The teacher is not liable for damage or loss of items that the student
brings to class.

7. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):


a) The General Data Protection Regulation (A.V.G.) applies to this lesson
agreement. You will find this statement enclosed.

8. General Provisions:

a) In all cases not provided for in this agreement, the teacher decides
(whether or not after consultation with the student/payer).
