TOPIC: SOUL WINNING, THE MAIN BUSINESS OF A CHRISTIAN

DURATION: 20 MINUTES

INTRODUCTION:
As is our custom, every first Sunday of the month is dedicated to reaching out to the
lost with the gospel. The gospel simply means good news. The salvation of sinners is
dearest to God's heart. Jesus left heaven for earth, died, and rose again to save sinners.

SCRIPTURES: Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16

MESSAGE:
We do not need any special qualifications to win souls. The only thing needed is to be
born again. After salvation, you qualify to do the Master's bidding. This is your main
business; every other pursuit is a side hustle. Do not let your side hustle overshadow
the main one.

Why should we win souls?

1. Jesus was a soul winner. That alone shows how important soul-winning is (Luke
19:10
2. Hell is real; although we preach the good news, it doesn't dispute the fact of hell
(Matthew 25:41).
3. We are saved to save others. We must point the way to those still in darkness;
otherwise, their blood will be required from us (2 Timothy 2:2).
4. It is the Great Commission, so great that heaven rejoices when we win souls
(Matthew 28:19-20).

DISCUSSION:
1. Why is soul-winning considered the main business of a Christian?

2. Explain two reasons why we should win souls.

CONCLUSION:
Going into the world and preaching the gospel is a command, not advice, neither is it a
suggestion. This is an express command from our father. Win a soul today because "he
who wins souls is wise!"
