Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a successful career, while

others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

When they finish school, teenagers face the dilemma of whether to get a job or continue their
education. While there are benefits to getting a job straight after school, I would argue that it is
better to go to college or university.

The option to begin employment immediately after school is appealing for a variety of reasons.
Many young individuals want to start making money as soon as feasible. This allows them to
become independent and finance their own home or start a family. Young individuals who choose
to work rather than pursue their schooling may advance their careers faster. They will have the
opportunity to obtain real-world experience and practical skills relevant to their chosen vocation.
This may result in promotions and a successful career.

On the other hand, it is reasonable that many students want to continue their education. First and
foremost, many vocations demand academic degrees. For example, it is difficult to become a
doctor, teacher, or lawyer without an appropriate degree. As a result, university graduates have
more and better career prospects, and they tend to make more money than individuals with less
education. Second, the employment market is growing more competitive, with hundreds of
candidates for a single post in a corporation. Young individuals without university or college
degrees may be unable to compete.

In conclusion, there are convincing arguments for starting work straight after school, but higher
education can also lead to a successful career.
