PLANTATION:

Trees are our best friends. They are very important to us in many ways. Trees give
us delicious fruits to eat, like apples and oranges. They also provide shade, a cool
place to rest when the sun is too hot. More than that, trees make our air clean and
fresh by absorbing harmful gases and releasing oxygen. This is why trees are vital
for our survival. One of the best ways to increase the number of trees is through a
process called tree plantation.

Tree plantation refers to the activity of planting more trees. This can be done in many
places such as schools, public parks, and even in our own backyards. Planting trees
is very beneficial because they help to protect our environment. They combat climate
change by absorbing carbon dioxide, a harmful greenhouse gas.

When we plant trees, it is important that we take good care of them. We need to
water them regularly, ensure they get enough sunlight, and protect them from pests.
By doing this, we can help the trees to grow healthy and strong. It is our duty, our
responsibility, to ensure they thrive and live a long life.

Everyone should participate in tree plantation. It is an effective way to care for our
earth. If we all work together, we can make a significant difference. We can make
our world a much more beautiful and healthier place to live. This is why tree
plantation is very important and why we should all be involved in it.
BENEFITS OF PLANTATION: Trees provide a significant contribution to their
surroundings by giving oxygen, sustaining species, improving air quality, saving
water, maintaining soil and reducing climate change. It provides more than it
gets by concentrating on its principal job of photosynthesis. Trees absorb
carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and create oxygen for the surrounding
living, breathing species. According to one research, one acre of forest may
create up to 4 tons of oxygen while absorbing up to 6 tons of carbon dioxide,
enough to feed about 20 people for year.
The most significant role of trees is to keep greenhouse gases at bay by
lowering air temperature, maintaining low carbon dioxide levels, and thereby
minimizing the greenhouse effect in the atmosphere. Aside from that, they
keep the heat in by acting as a screen against strong winds, heavy rain, sleet,
and hail. As a result, trees may control and affect wind speed and direction to
maintain a balanced environment.
Trees serve an important part in the ecosystems in which they reside, whether
above or below ground. The trees' extensive roots assist in keeping the soil in
place and preventing erosion. The reason for this is that soil erosion is not a
regular occurrence. They absorb and retain rainwater, reducing runoff and
sediment deposits during big storms.
HERE ARE SOME QUOTES FOR PLANATATION:
1. “The best friend on earth of man is the tree. When we use the tree respectfully and
economically, we have one of the greatest resources on the earth.” – Frank Lloyd
Wright

2. “If I thought I was going to die tomorrow, I should nevertheless plant a tree today.”
– Stephen Girard

3. “Trees exhale for us so that we can inhale them to stay alive. Can we ever forget
that? Let us love trees with every breath we take until we perish.” – Munia Khan

4. “The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to
sit.” – Nelson Henderson

5. “Until you dig a hole, you plant a tree, you water it and make it survive, you
haven’t done a thing. You are just talking.” – Wangari Maathai

6. “We can learn a lot from trees: they’re always grounded but never stop reaching
heavenward.”
Outcomes:
1.Enhancing air quality
2.Biodiversity
3.Wood production
4.Minimising flood risk
